Booked 2 rooms for the night of July 1 (Canada Day). I knew it was going to be Trump International Hotel and Tower because I couldn't find any other 5 star hotels in that zone. I'm thrilled with this hotel at this price. I think the exchange rate helped a lot too. I just checked again and the price of the Riverbank Park Plaza Hotel has gone way up. I did the bid atleast a month ago (same for the Amsterdam hotel I posted). If I was to have done the bid on Priceline now I would have saved a lot of money. Either way I am happy with the hotel.

I put a bid in for $100/night for July 9-12 in the city center & museum quarter section of Amsterdam (4 star). Priceline offered me a hotel for $134/night. I took the hotel and it was the Victoria Hotel. It looks like a nice hotel and I am happy with it. However the hotel website had the exact same rate on their website. So I saved $0 by going with Priceline! Also the same thing happened with a hotel I bid for in London. I put in for $100/night 4* and they offered $134/night. I got a Park Plaza Hotel (Riverbank Park Plaza) but the internet rate was the same as the priceline rate. So why do I need priceline if I can go to the www.parkplaza.com hotel website!
