3.5* Sheraton Colonial Wakefield, October 15-18 Looking for a hotel in the Lynnfield area. Tried bidding 3* ,$100 in Peabody/Danvers zone 3* unsuccessfully. Added 3.5* Woburn/Wakfield and upped to $110...no luck. Next day started over at $115 in Peabody-Danvers 3 star...no luck. Added Woburn-Wakefield 3.5* and increased bid to $125 which was accepted. Overall happy but realized when looking at Priceline Express rates that 3.5 star in Woburn-Wakefield was available for $126. Hotwire had 3.5* in that zone at $130...so do your homework before bidding (which I didn't do enough of). Looking at Sheraton site and plugging in AARP rate, lowest I could get was $199 so still substantial savings.Have stayed here a few times before and was satisfied although I think the 3.5* rating might 1/2* too much unless there's been substantial renovation in past few years.
