  1. For whomever it may help: Got back two days ago from Barcelo Bavaro Palace Deluxe and paid $210 (before tax) per night 2/19-2/22. Bid on Priceline for 4.5* deluxe on 1/30 and got that deal.
  2. I just did a Priceline.Express deal because they were offering a 5* hotel for $254 a night in Central Park South for tomorrow night, Saturday, September 6. It turned out to be The Quin at 57th and 6th. I'm not sure it's so much a 5* property in terms of amenities, but perhaps because it is fairly new. I guess I'll find out tomorrow.
  3. I live in New York City, in Manhattan, in Midtown, and I would love to stay at the Waldorf-Astoria for my birthday this weekend because of its history. So, obviously I am trying for something very specific here, and I accept that if I don't get it, I'm stuck. I saw the following Express Deals on Priceline (the only two currently showing in Midtown East): Midtown East 4* Guest Rating: 8+GUEST FAVORITE Save 40% or more+$160/night Amenities: Pets, Restaurant, Fitness Center, Business Center Midtown East 4.5* Guest Rating: 8+GUEST FAVORITE Save 20% or more+$236/night Amenities: Pets, Restaurant, Fitness Center, Business Center Does anyone have any idea what these may be, or if either one is Waldorf-Astoria? I did try bidding on a 4.5 star at $150, just to see if they would take the low offer, and I was rejected. I have never bid on a hotel room before, so I appreciate any advice to be offered. Thank you!
