Well, I went back and there was 4* in Dupont Circle with Restaurant, Pool, Fitness, Hi-Speed Internet, Business. The TripAdvisor Rating was 4.5 so I was assuming it would be the Hotel Palomar. It was for $119 per night. I jumped at that and I was correct it was the Hotel Palomar. Thanks for all your help.

The 3.5* South of the Mall is back. The amenaties include : Restaurant, Pool, Fitness, Buisness Center. The TripAdvisor Traveler Rating is 3 out of 5. I previously thought it was Lenfant Plaza Hotel. Any thoughts?

It was actually no longer available yesterday, and I not sure if I have written down the ammenities, I'll look when I get home. I have since realized that the choice often change daily on HOTWIRE. I will keep you informed of what I end up with.

Updated previous thread and bumping.

Endend up bidding on 2* hotel in richmond south. Bid $60 and got the Ramada Inn. Hotel was ok. We only spent the night after spending the day at Busch Gardens and was fine. Was complimentary Breakfast in moring with eggs, waffles, etc.

Looking to stay in DC 7/20 - 7/22 and be near museums and monuments. Saw 3.5* South of the Mall, but there is no 3.5* listed for this area? Any idea what it might be? I was thinking Lenfant Plaza Hotel. For 2 adults and 2 children.

I know that every reservation is different, but in general, do you get better deals if you wait right before the trip or should I reserve something now for the best deal?

Are you able to tell how many stars a hotel is if they do not list stars next to them? For instance, under Hopewell, VA there is a Comfort Inn that is two stars and the other hotels do not show any stars? There is a Econo Lodge, Fairfield Inn, and a Hampton Inn.

Thanks for the help. I really appreciate it. I think I know how to check if Petersburg only has one star hotels, but I'm would rather be sure, if you can explain. I will be bidding the next couple days. I will be sure to let eveyone know how what I got.

Both Zones in Williamsburg are ok. And yes that would be my plan.

Sorry for the confusion. Either Williamsburg, Va or Hopewell, VA. They are about 40 miles apart. Hopewell is on I295.

Sorry for the delay replying, I've been away and waiting to see which way we would be driving to Ocean Isle, NC after we stop in Williamsburg. I am going to head back to 295 to 95. I had considered taking 17, in which case I would have been open to staying in Newport News area.

Since I will be taking 295, I would also be interested in staying in Hopewell, I would say that my prices would be about $10 less to stay in Hopewell. I would pay $70 for 2.5* in Williamsburg. Thanks again.

I talked to my family and we will need two rooms, checking in 7/14 and checking out 7/15. Maximum bids for ** would be $60 and $90 for ***. Thanks again for your help. Area doesn't matter.

My family and I will be staying in Williamsburg for one night on Friday July 14th on our way to Ocean Isle, NC. I am fairly new to the board, however I did read about re-bidding and understand how it works. My question is how low should I start the bidding for a 3* hotel? How about a 2*? I see people post about 2 1/2* hotels but I don't see them listed on Price Line. Any help would be appreciated. By the way, I will be reserving either 2 or 3 rooms. Will this have any effect on the price? Thanks in advance for any help.
