Winner! It was a little more than I wanted, but my friends volunteered to help pay (I was trying to surprise them with a nice room). After taxes, the two rooms combined for a total of $199.94.

I'll probably start by bidding on a 3.5* on Price.line (using the links on this forum!) because two rooms at $129/night via Hot.wire puts me way over budget. It'd be cheaper to bid on two rooms via Price.line if I can get them at $100/night (or even less).

Ideally I'd like to stay under the $150 mark, if it's possible.

Hey gang, I'm a long time lurker, first time bidder looking for some help. A group of friends and I (four people including myself) are sailing on a cruise out of San Juan, and will need a hotel for one night in San Juan checking in on 10/17. We'd like to stay in the Old San Juan/Cordado area due to the proximity to the airport and cruise port. We'd like to stay in a 3.5* or higher, but would consider dropping to a 3* if there was a significant price difference. I know Priceline only does bookings based on bedding for two people, so I'm open to bidding/booking two Priceline rooms or one Hotwire room. Can anyone recommend some suggested bids to start my process? Thanks in advance.
