  3. Hi, Decided to go for the Quality Inn Shelburne since it seems like it was the best reviewed hotel between these hotels. No a huge discount from the standard price of 129$ but still not bad. Thanks for all of your help!

  6. Not looking for anything in particular. Just want it to be a decent hotel without too bad reviews. Any idea to which hotels can this hotel be from? It doesn't matter to me the actual hotel but it would help a lot to know the possibilities.

  11. Hi, I was finally able to book a hotel for my stay in NYC and I even managed to stay within my budget. Looking at the rating and reviews at trip advisior, this seems like a good deal. The location also seems good. Thanks a lot for all of your help!
  12. Will dropping the limit to 3* help at all? I don't really mind the 3* but I rather not bid on it in priceline since there are some 3* hotels which I'd like to avoid. There's a deal on hotwire for a 3* hotel in ESB area for 189$ with the following amenities: FULL AMENITIES: Pet friendly, Smoke Free Rooms, Self service laundry, Internet access, Accessible for the blind, Accessible for the deaf, In-room accessibility, Wheelchair accessible, Accessible bathroom, Roll-in shower Which hotel can this hotel be?
  13. I'm understand that it's better to stay in NYC rather than LIC and I think that if the difference is less than 200$ then it's worth it. This means that my max budget is currently 180$.
  14. Both of these options are above my budget. I've booked for now a cancel-able hotel in LIC for 140$ a night. Is there any chance that the hotel prices in midtown will drop between now an October?
  15. Hi, I'm trying to book a hotel for my upcoming trip to NYC but I'm having some difficulties finding a hotel with my budget. The areas that I have been looking into are (in this order): MTW,TS,MTE,MSG,ESB,HK,Chelsea,UES,UWS (I avoided the CPS based on the recommendation in this forum). I would prefer to not try 3* hotels since there are some hotels that I want to avoid in this category. So far, I tried to bid for 4* on all of these areas with 200$ and was declined. I also tried to bid on 3.5* (excluding the UES and UWS areas since they had some hotles with a low rating that I wanted to avoid) with 175$ and was declined. I wanted to stay under 200 including taxes but I don't think this is possible in my dates. I increased my budget to 200$ before taxes but it didn't help yet. My current budget is 200$ for 4* and 175$ for 3.5*. I'd rather spend less on a 3.5* hotel. What is a realistic price for these dates? Should I try to split my stay into 2 hotels? If so, how should I split the dates? and what should be the budget for each split?
