  1. I shockingly got this on the first bid... It's listed at $299 on just about every site, including direct priceline. Room Subtotal: $80.00 Taxes & Fees: $25.85 Total Charged to Card: $105.85
  2. Was looking for 2 rooms in Hollywood and hoping to get the Roosevelt.. Started with hollywood at $160 - got a counter of $195 Added Culver $165 decline added Lawndale - $170 decline added Redondo - $175 - Accepted. Best online rate I could find was 229, so just kind of "meh".. Savings of $108 per night is decent :)
  3. Bid $77 on Friday and was rejected. Bid $78 just now and was accepted. Best rate on ICH website is $176/night. Decent hotel and great location that's right across the street from the office. Was given the option to add additional nights at the same price. Holiday Inn Downtown New York City 3 Star Downtown - Soho - Financial District 138 Lafayette Street New York, New York 10013 212-966-8898 Your Offer Price Per Room, Per Night: $78.00 Subtotal: $78.00 Taxes & Service Fees: $21.64 Total Charges*: $99.64
  4. Yes, I need airfare too, and want it on AA so I can upgrade. Willing to book as a package.
  5. Hi, I'm trying to put together a bidding strategy for "the venetian" from 8/2-9. I've been trying up to 140 with no luck. It appears my problem nights are Wednesday 8/2, definitely Thursday 8/3 and maybe Friday 8/4 coming it at $300, $349, and $300 respectively on Expedia. The following nights come in at $200 for Saturday 8/5 and then $169 for 8/6-8/9. My $140 bid was countered with $211, so when added up comes out the same as booking on Expedia. Max bid would be $170. I'm also willing to split the bids. Although I'm hesitant because I can get the Wynn on AAvacations.com for $224 a night and not have to worry about the check in check out, or even the slight possibility that we might have to switch hotels. 12 free re-bids between mine an my fiances accounts. Suggestions welcome :)
  6. We got a great corner room with awesome views of times square. The stay couldn't have been better. This is a very "chique" hotel, and at no time were we made to feel we were paying less then half of anyone one else. The staff was extremely attentive. If you're driving in stay away from their parking. Go half a block up on 47th on the right for 3 lots that charge less then half as much as they do. ($70 per day vs $30). Also, they messed up and put all the charges on my check out bill: Room rate $155 State Tax: $12.98 City Tax $7.75 Occ/Tourism Tax $2 NYC Javits Center Tax: $1.50 Total: $179.23 PL made $15.70, I saved almost $200. :)
