  1. Won the Country Inn And Suites Cincinnati Airport for $50, after bidding $35, $40, and $45 Also tried 3*, up to $55, and got nothing. I used the BB PRICELINE link to book. Bid $50 for 1 night Tax $15.10 Total $65.10
  2. I used the PRICELINE link. Bid $50. 4 star, Downtown area. Bid Rejected. Bid $50. Added Covington area, opened to 3.5*. Accepted for the Millennium Hotel Cincinnati. Total with taxes = $64.84
  3. Bid $43, won on first bid. A particularly nice win as this is during the Indy MotoGP weekend, and only 4 miles from the track. Wyndham Indianapolis West Airport Zone 2544 Executive Drive Indianapolis, IN 46241 317-248-2481 Room Cost (avg. per room, per night): $43.00 (USD) Number of Rooms: 2 Number of Nights: 3 Room Subtotal: $258.00 (USD) Taxes and Fees: $53.34 (USD) Total Room Cost: $311.34 (USD)
  4. Ok, so I want to leave destination A (In the US) on 11/1. Although kindof the same day (Morning till night), The flights typically arrive in Destination B (in Asia) late on 11/2, due to crossing the Intl dateline. So lets say I book a flight with NYOP leaving 11/1. Priceline says the flight can leave your origin anytime that day or as late as 2am the next day, and arrive anytime the following day. So, theoretically could they put me on a flight leaving my origin in the US at 1am on 11/2, going to a connection in, lets say New York (forcing me to get a hotel that night), leaving in the evening of 11/2, then arriving in Asia the night of the following day 11/3, taking 48 hours to reach my destination, and putting me there a full day later? Because if that could happen, Im definitely not going to Name my price. It wouldnt be worth it at any price.
  5. It is a raw deal, but the exact same (almost) as if you priceline a flight. You bid one price, then realize you have to pay to put your bag on the flight. I guess the only difference is the baggage charge is more of a rip-off, and you only pay if you have a bag, but who doesnt? The question is should we put up with companies nickel and dimeing us to death with all these add-on charges? Im thinking No, but how do we change their behavior? Everybody needs to fight them over the charge, until it causes them more money in dealing w/ the people than it makes them... or something... Of course, then they might add a complaint charge.. :)
  6. I stayed at the Hyatt place in Aug 08. Overall I was pleased w/ the place, although it was an interesting stay. Location: The hotel is easy to find, and is right by the Opryland attractions. IF you're not staying for Opryland or the mall, then you'll be bored, as that's all that's in the area. It is also located across the street from a gocart track. So every couple minutes you get to hear "Start your engines!" and stuff over a loudspeaker. That was annoying, but w/ the TV turned up it was tolerable. Rooms I've seen a lot of mixed reviews about the hotel, some very bad. The room overall was nice, although it had some issues. The room was large, the bed was very comfy, the TV huge, and the couch too. The carpet did have some big stains. . . the designers should've known better than to put light colored carpet in a hotel. The bathroom was small, but clean. The bad is the AC unit seemed to be growing mold inside. .. I assume it was mold. . . either way, not too pleasant. Breakfast Not a big selection, as they want you to buy their cinammon rolls and stuff they have. It was comprised of bagels, toast, fresh fruit, cereal. Other Hotel notes The Fire alarm went off at about 12:30am. False alarm. The front desk girl said that it happens a lot. The elevator is rickety, and makes a sound like Orca whales whenever it's going up or down. . . which echos through the concrete of the hotel. It's annoying. Somebody ought to fix that. We also had the privelege of hearing some extremely loud "honeymooners" who were like 7 rooms down from us. . and yes we could still hear her. A bunch of people apparently thought she was being murdered or was having a baby or something so they called security, and . .. anyway, that really has nothing to do w/ anything, but it was amusing (at 1am). :) Oh, and the pool is an outdoor pool, and it is not heated. No hot tub.
  7. I've stayed at this hotel. Like many HOTWIRE properties, it's overstated. 2 star property for sure, but when I stayed it was clean and had a good breakfast.
  8. I tried a bunch of bids on PRICELINE before getting fed up and going HOTWIRE. 3* Hyatt Place Opryland Amenities: Shuttle, Pool, Fitness, Complimentary Breakfast, Hi-Speed Internet, Business Night of 8/16/08 BB HOTWIRE / PRICELINE links used.
  9. Bid $40 for 3* downtown-riverfront - Rejected Bid $50. Added Ft Mitchell - Accepted Bid price per night $50 + $15.25tax = Total price of $65.25 :) Had I done it again, I probably would've bid $45. Heated Indoor pool and whirlpool, here I come!
  10. Im throwing this in here, since its a car rental instead of a hotel. I just got this: Priceline - name your own price Compact car rental in Phx 6/14 - 6/20 $12/day + tax for a total of $155.74 Rental company - Alamo
  11. I'm new to this, and Im looking for some places to stay in Cancun/Riviera Maya from 9/16-9/23. I see star ratings in Priceline, but what about All-inclusives? Are they on there somewhere, and Im just not seeing the option?
