So i think I have come to terms with any 4 star hotel in the downtown area. What I did notice over the last few days is during the day time there is a PRICELINE EXPRESS deal for 230 a night and the only thing they tell you is it is atleast 7/10 rated. Later at night the deal disappears and a 4 star 274 a night deal replaces it. on this deal the ammenities are (pet friendly,business center,restaurant,free wifi, free breakfast,pool,fitness,no smoking). Do you think this is the same hotel for both deals? Any idea what hotel that would be? Am i better off just naming my price at 4* and just increasing my bid little by little. Thanks for the help

I am planning a trip from october 4 to october 8 in denver. I want a four star hotel in the Downtown Denver area. Worst case I guess i could take the express deal for a 4 star in Downtown Denver. My fear with that deal is I really dont want the Warwick Denver. I checked the ammenities and it seems like it will be the Westin Denver Downtown though. Where i really need help is with my bidding results . I cant seem to find any amenities listed for a 4 star down town bid. I would really love to bid and stay at a 4 star while getting under the 230/night range. Any ideas?

Double checked the ammenities it has restaurant,free internet, internet access

Ended up booking a Hotwire deal 4* MTE at 153 a night. listed ammenities were free internet and restaurant turned out to be the gotham hotel

It is a HOTWIRE deal not a PRICELINE and oddly enough it was 187 this morning and had changed to 191 by noon. Im still trying to figure out which hotel that is cause it sounds like exactly what I am looking for. Not willing to pay more for any of the zones.The goal is 4* good price MTW,UES,Chelsea,MTE is just the order that i would prefer to stay. I appreciate the help on the bidding strategy I had one more question. I saw a hot deal today on hotwire for 187 for UES it has 75% recommendation and I havent been able to find a 4* UES that matches that.

I think I want to bid, I decided my budget is more important than the location. I still want to stay away from the time square area. The most important thing is that its a legit 4* hotel and it would be nice if i could kinda figure out what the place likely is before i bid. Most of the 4* I have seen look good and fancy enough for what im looking for .

I actually have been to New york once , I stayed at the new yorker and was not a big fan. Im willing to bid with priceline or hotwire in zones MTW ,MTE ,ESB im really trying to stay under 200/night I appreciate the help coming up with a strategy, i tried kinda comparing ammenities but it just seemed like all the same hotel. Im looking to get a room for a getaway for my wifes birthday. Im looking for a 4 star room in MTW,MTE,ESB,Financial (anywhere centrally located other than Time square really) Im trying to stay under 180-190/night and the dates will be 8/26 to checkout on 8/31.
