Going to NYC in from September 5th - 9th and going to see a baseball game of the mets and the Yankees. We will also be checking out time square, central park, some basic touristy things before heading on to Philly, Washington, and Baltimore for more baseball games. We are open to using public transportation to get around, so we don't have to be in the heart of everything. We would like to be in a 3 star or better hotel if at all possible and in new York. Ideally around $150 with taxes a night but willing to go more if needed. I was checking out the Chelsea area but got scared off on priceline when it showed a 3 star hostel, I don't want to bid on a hostel, don't want to share a room or a bathroom. Saw a couple of hostels in the priceline lists and really don't want to get stuck in one of those. Any suggestions or advice is greatly appreciated. Thanks, Kevin
