1. The Amenities that were shown for this location were, Free Wi-Fi, Free Breakfast, Business Center, & Fitness center.
2. So I tried bidding a couple of times from your PRICELINE link trying $125-$130. Of course, no luck. I ended up clicking on the express deal and found $142 a night in the Chelsea area. I couldn't believe it. I opened another window and checked PRICELINE from that and it did not show that deal. So I jumped on the express deal 3 star for $142 a night. Plus the 5% off summer14 code. I ended up getting the 4 nights at $678 total. The hotel is the Fairfield inn and suites manhattan/Chelsea. I checked on their site and the cheapest stay for the same time is over $1300. Super excited.
3. I would love your advice on if i should be bidding now or wait for a little bit? I know there is no crystal ball for this whole thing and I don't hold you to this, just looking for your professional opinion :) I know we have time until we go (74 days but who is counting) but not sure exactly what course of action to take. Thanks for setting my mind at ease regarding the hostels, that definately put the fear of god in me :) In all reality, the price is not going to change our minds on going, we have bought airline and game tickets so it is happening one way or another. Just looking to get the best price during that time.
4. Going to NYC in from September 5th - 9th and going to see a baseball game of the mets and the Yankees. We will also be checking out time square, central park, some basic touristy things before heading on to Philly, Washington, and Baltimore for more baseball games. We are open to using public transportation to get around, so we don't have to be in the heart of everything. We would like to be in a 3 star or better hotel if at all possible and in new York. Ideally around $150 with taxes a night but willing to go more if needed. I was checking out the Chelsea area but got scared off on priceline when it showed a 3 star hostel, I don't want to bid on a hostel, don't want to share a room or a bathroom. Saw a couple of hostels in the priceline lists and really don't want to get stuck in one of those. Any suggestions or advice is greatly appreciated. Thanks, Kevin
