I was hoping for the St.Louis Chesterfield area and the Doubletree 3.5* I started out very low ($32) and was raising the price each day. When I got up into the $40 dollar range I started adding additional areas to get an accepted bid. After a few more tries I add the lower 3* level and was finally accepted at O'Fallon at $56/night for 2 rooms and 2 nights. I got the rooms for $56/night plus taxes and fees for a total of $67.56 per night. Rooms: 2 Nights: 2 + Add nights for the same rate! Room Subtotal: $224.00 Taxes & Fees: $46.24 Total Charged to Card: $270.24

Great location. 3 blocks to DC Metro. We even took a taxi to and from the Washington Mall area and paid $10 from the Lincoln Memorial area during non-rush hour time frame and $15 going to White House tour in the am rush hour traffic. Expect to pay 19/day parking which is normal for the Wash DC area. WiFi is free in lobby but expect to pay $12/24 hour period to connect in room. Wash DC has 4G so I was able to get good fast connection via phone. We ate in the bar and the restaurant, both had good food. Great value for the money.

Total charges with taxes and fees...$86.81 There were construction signs in the lobby, but I didn't see or hear any of the construction. Hotel room was okay. Bed was nice and comfortable but there was some trash leftover from a previous guest. Lamp shade was worn and torn which made the feel of the room not as high quality as the 3* would suggest. The bathroom had eye masks and ear plugs to help block out noise and light. Nice offer but why would I really want to stay at a hotel that needed these items. I would put this hotel in the 2 1/2* range. Overall for the price I paid I wish I would have gone to the Hampton Inn in Dayton that I have stayed at previously, which has nice rooms and breakfast and I think I would have saved money. Sorry, I did not go through PRICELINE through your site. Next time I will.

I made an error on the dates I entered. I hope you can fix my dates. Actually date bid were 3/26 thru 3/28. I have been upping my bid and am now at $110 with no luck. I will keep trying.

I have more than a month before I go to Tampa/St. Pete so I plan to keep bidding until I get a low price for the room. $70 was rejected. I decided to add Clearwater and stay at the 4* level and increased the bid to $75. That bid was rejected also. I will try again in 24 hours.

I have been trying to win a bid in Peru/La Salle area. I tried $47 and $50 and both bids were rejected. I am going to reserve a room through AARP. If I bid any higher with the taxes and fees that PRICELINE adds in I can get a room through AARP for the same price and I know where I will be staying.

I tried a bid for a 2* in Peru, IL at $39 and bid was rejected I added La Salle, IL and stayed at 2* hotel and increased bid to $45 and bid was rejected This bid was for one night 1/28/09 I will try again tomorrow

I needed two rooms for one night on the North Side of Kansas City. I can't say enough about the ammenities, friendlyness of staff, cleanlyness, great great great hotel for $45/night.
