$300 per night per room excluding taxes. I've just booked the flights so the dates are confirmed.

4.5 or 5 star I think would be more like it. Is it worth splitting the nights in two to take advantage of the lower price closer to Christmas?

I'm planning to be in New York from 17 December to the 22nd. I'm bringing my son for his 21st and my daughter so we will need two rooms in a great 4 star or 5 star hotel. Somewhere mid town would be great, perhaps Time Square. This will be our first time in New York at Christmas. What sort of price. Is it best to go for a 5 star. We are coming from the UK and the exchange rate is pretty good right now, though could get even better a bit later in the year
