  1. I went ahead and booked this, and got the Hotel Baltimore. I have no experience with hotels in the area and this was the location we wanted so I pulled the trigger. Looks good to me!
  2. Seeing if anyone has some tips for me on areas or a recommended hotel. Sorry to be vague, but my wife and I will be in Paris staying 2 nights in May, one night we want to stay somewhere in a good location near central Paris. My budget is $200 a night roughly, I'm not sure if this is doable, but I want to try to get a 4* hotel or if possible 5* hotel. Here's what I'm seeing for 5 stars, any identification or recommendation is appreciated :). 5* originally $339 now $222 Saint Germain - Luxembourg Gardens - Invalides area 80% recommended Free internet Pet Friendly Fitness Center Restaurants Business Center It says "Book soon! The last person got the Hotel Bel Ami" 5* originally $495 now $215 South of Champs Elysées - Trocadéro area 85% recommended Free Internet Fitness Center Restaurant(s) Business Center Accessible parking "Book soon! The last person got the Marignan Paris" Other than this, there are about 18 four star hotels that fit my budget, so if anyone had a recommendation for any of those (I won't list them all) I would like any input you have. -Drew I have used this forum a few times (whenever I do I book through the links, thanks everyone!)
  3. Got the La Cantera for $147!! :). Thanks for the help! We almost paid $350/night for 2 nights, instead we used HOTWIRE and are staying for 5 nights and are under our budget. Woohoo!!!
  4. You are correct on the dates, my brain isn't working today. Would you recommend HOTWIRE over Price.line bidding? I've never tried hotwire but if there's a better chance of getting that hotel, that should work. Thanks for your help!
  5. Sorry, check in Saturday October 12, check out Thursday Oct. 16th. Yes, it wouldn't matter if it was turned around. I figured the more expensive hotel I would avoid staying Saturday night as that would drive the price up.
  6. Thank you for the info. I will use the links when I go to purchase. I noticed that it lists guaranteed amenities that match the hotel I am looking for, not sure if this is a clue or not that there is only one hotel in that range. I am looking at staying in San Antonio Sunday October 12th through Thursday October 16th (5 nights, checking out Thursday October 16th). I was planning on staying on the Riverwalk for three nights and then two nights at the La Cantera Hill Country Resort. For our budget I would prefer to stay under $150 for the first 3 nights and then under $250 for the other two (my wife wanted us to book the La Cantera Hill through their website, and it costs roughly $350 a night after fees). I was hoping we could do better with some research and smart bidding .
  7. I am getting ready to put a bid in on this, but wanted to see if anyone had recent updates on the area. The last winning priceline bid I see for this region at 4* was August 2013. Could anyone confirm this is the only 4* hotel in this region, or has anyone recently won La Cantera Hill Country Resort? I am bidding for a trip in October and my wife has her heart set on this hotel. Thank you.
