I have been reading in this forum for a while, and it helped me save a ton of cash with priceline bidding. I did my research and figured out what areas are best suited for me.
I started bidding for Fairfax West area at $60, got rejected. Then I added Dulles South and raised my bid to 62, got denied again. Then I used the free rebid area and raised my bid to 65
Finally, my bid got accepted and they upgraded me to a 3.5* which is not bad. Original prices for the rooms in that hotel are currently at $134.

I started the bid at $53, rejected. Then I upped my bid to $55, Priceline bumped me to 3.5 stars. I've been to this hotel before, so I was glad to get it again as it is close to shopping centers and restaurants in that area.
