I stayed at the Four Points by Sheraton in the Historic District of Savannah from 4/28-4/29 for $88 (includes taxes/fees). On Hotwire, this hotel was listed as a 3 star hotel with the following amenities: Free Internet, Smoke Free Rooms, Fitness Center, Pool(s), Restaurant(s), Business Center, Self service laundry, Internet access, Accessible for the blind, Accessible bathroom. I do not recommend staying at this hotel. My stay was an utter disappointment. The hotel is advertised as being in the historic district. However, it is located right on the edge of the sketchy part of downtown and the nice part of the historic district, but it was walking distance to all of the great restaurants and bars. I arrived at the hotel right at check-in time and was told by an employee that they were running behind and that the rooms would not be ready for another hour or two. I did not actually check-in to my room until 3 HOURS LATER. Even after I checked in, the hotel lobby was still filled with people waiting for their room to be ready. The compensation for the inconvenience was a free complimentary breakfast. The hotel room itself was lackluster. The carpet didn't seem clean. I did not feel comfortable walking around without my shoes on. Breakfast the following morning was probably the best part of my stay at the hotel. It included this great omelette bar, where you could choose your ingredients, and it would be made fresh right there in front of you. Besides that, breakfast was nothing special. I would not have paid for breakfast there when there are much better options just a few blocks away. There's a $15 parking fee to park in their deck. I was lucky enough to find a spot on the street right next to the hotel, so I did not have to pay the fee. From my experience, this hotel did not seem like a 3 star hotel. I would spend a little more money for a nicer hotel in a nicer part of the historic district.
