  1. Like my other previous win at same hotel. Started again at $55 and worked my way to $60 when I won it. Hotel info: Hyatt Place Grand Rapids-South 3 Star Grand Rapids South - Wyoming 2150 Metro Lane Wyoming, Michigan 49519 616-724-1234 This is the hotel I was hoping for. I had a current reservation with AAA discount total was $222.30 (including tax+fees). Priceline's total is $145.65 (including tax+fees). Savings equal $76.65. Between my two wins for this trip of 7 nights in this hotel I saved over $318.
  2. Bids $50 - rejected $55 - rejected Then I got $30 bonus cash that equals $6/night extra on the bid $55+$6 BC - Accepted. Hotel info: Hyatt Place Grand Rapids-South 3 Star Grand Rapids South - Wyoming 2150 Metro Lane Wyoming, Michigan 49519 616-724-1234 This is the hotel I was hoping for. I had a current reservation with AAA discount total was $572. Priceline's total is $330.
  3. Well I looked on Expedia and Priceline and both say its a 2.5* hotel. I also noticed the hotel does not have a on site restaurant like stated on Hotwire. So I called Hotwire and they called the hotel to confirm and was able to cancel my stay.
  4. Well I booked this hotel for 2 nights for a different time period. It turned out to be the Baymont Inn & Suites. Disappointed.
  5. Dates are June 9th-14th. $39+taxes and fees for a 3* in Grand Rapids, MI - South Wyoming Complimentary Breakfast Fitness Pool Restaurant Business Center Laundry High Speed Inet Golf 4 customer rating Trip Advisor rating. I have two possibilities I think it may be: 1. Hyatt Place - I don't see laundry listed anywhere and also on Trip Advisor it shows 4.5 customer rating. 2.Holiday Inn Express - I don't see they have a restaurant and they show a 2 customer rating on Trip Advisor. Thanks for any help.
  6. Rosen Plaza Hotel Amenities: Restaurant, Pool, Fitness, Hi-Speed Internet, Business, Golf, Laundry $50+taxes = $63.05
  7. The place is a dump. The high speed internet access is a joke. If you are lucky enough to get a signal it is slow as molasses. They do charge an additional $2.50/night upon arrival for a 'resort fee' that I don't recall was listed on HOTWIRE. The only thing good about the free breakfast is its free. Its located in the main lobby area and is a tight squeeze for the amount of people that they cram in there. Truly disappointed with this hotel.
  8. Enjoy this hotel. This hotel is beautifully decorated at Christmas time. You also got a great price. Be prepared to pay extra resort fee of $15 (if I remember correctly) per day and if you have a car there is a self park fee of like $10-$12/day. I have never stayed at this hotel with a PRICELINE win but have stayed under normal reservations. They always have been quick to upgrade if rooms are available with asking.
  9. What you see on trip advisor is not a star rating but more of an overall customer satisfaction rating. For the most part, star ratings for the hotels are determined by their amenities.
  10. Hilton Garden Inn is usually listed between the prices of $34-$37. Also the last few times I have gotten the Hilton it also listed the 'Customer Favorite' icon next to it.
  11. This is a decent hotel for the price. I might be disappointed paying full price but for $50 and under it is well worth it. The time we stayed it was clean and worked well for us. Its an older complex but the room we where in was recently redone.
  12. Amenities: Fitness Pool Restaurant Business Center Laundry High Speed Internet Golf Nearby Also listed as 'Customer Favorite' Price with tax $46.84
  13. If this is the Comfort Suites Orlando they also charge a $2.50 'resort fee' upon check-in so take that into consideration. Also they are not really 'suites'. Just a tad bit longer room with a love seat. The place is also a dump. If you can find it or if it is offered go for the 3* Hilton Gardons at Sea World. Much much nicer and after adding in the extra resort fee I think it was alittle cheaper.
  14. I would bet the 4.5* Celebration area is Gaylord Palms. If that is the case be prepared to spend another $10-$15/day resort fee and $12/day parking fee.
  15. Hotel was a dump! Elevators, hallways, grounds all needed a good cleaning. Free breakfast was horrible. Ran out of the 'hot items' by 8:30am. Crowded area to get food and sit. Hotel also charged a $2.50/day resort fee. For $2-$3 more the Hilton Garden Inn by Sea World beats this pig sty hands down.
  16. Used BB's HOTWIRE link Amenities: Fitness Pool Restaurant Business Center Laundry High Speed Internet Golf Nearby Also listed as 'Customer Favorite' Trip Advisor 4 out of 5 with 80+ reviews (Last review August 2008) With tax total = $47.84
  17. Used BB's HOTWIRE link. Amenities: Suite Smoke Free Rooms Complimentary Breakfast Pool Laundry High Speed Internet Using BB's info I was almost certain this would be the hotel. $34/night + taxes = $82.71
  18. If it is Gaylord you will pay both the resort fee and parking fee directly to the hotel upon check-in. Parking used to be like $10/day
  19. Been there for the last three weekends. Really a good deal for this hotel.
  20. Amenities: Fitness Center Restaurant(s) Laundry Facilities Golf Nearby Pool(s) Business Center High-speed Internet Access My third week in a row getting this same hotel. Used HOTWIRE links from this site. $35/night+taxes = $46.84
  21. I booked this same hotel last week for a stay last weekend. Hotwire changed somewhat. I no longer see a trip advisor report plus the amenities list changed this time around. With the amenties listed I thought I would be getting a Holiday Inn Concention Center. I'm happy I got the Hilton again since I know what to expect. Link to my last reservation: Hotwire Hilton Garden Inn Amenities: Fitness Center Pool Restaurant High Speed Internet Sorry forgot to use the link for HOTWIRE through this site. Price this time was $36/night. Total with tax was $88.52 Hilton Garden Inn Orlando SeaWorld International Center 6850 Westwood Boulevard Orlando, Florida 32821
  22. Just got back from this hotel. Very nice hotel for the price. I think its probably my best deal yet on HOTWIRE.
  23. Amenities: Fitness Center Restaurant(s) Laundry Facilities Golf Nearby Pool(s) Business Center High-speed Internet Access Tripadvisor Rating is 4/5 based on 80+ reviews (last review in August) $35/night plus taxes = $86.52 Used HOTWIRE link through www.betterbidding.com Hilton Garden Inn Orlando SeaWorld International Center 6850 Westwood Boulevard Orlando, Florida 32821
  24. First bid was $35. It was declined and gave me a message if I added $9 I could try again immediately. Bid $44 and was accepted. Total price with tax and fee is $57.05
  25. Just adding a mini review of the hotel: We were put into room 552. Its the last room on the top floor. It's a corner room and was good size, I would guess it's probably 1.5x bigger than a typical room. Our reservation was for 2 adults and 2 children so I thought we would have a room with two double beds. We had one king and a pull out sofa. I was disappointed at first but it turned out to be a blessing. We have one disabled son (2yrs old) that can only get around with a walker and the added space with the sofa instead of a bed worked out good for him. The hotel looks like an old Holiday Inn, its in my GPS as a Radison so I'm not sure when it became a Ramada Plaza. The hotel definitely needs some major TLC, its really starting to show its age. The sheets where clean and the bathrooms as well but the rest needs improvement. The hotel offers free wi-fi but was unable to get usable access in our room. We called the front desk and was told no one else has complained. We could sign-on but had such latency we couldn't connect to any websites nor use vpn. The room a/c is big window units and made a lot of noise and the maintenance guy said he would swap it out, he went on to say that some of the a/c units are from the 1970's. Housekeeping was unpredictable. One day they would leave 4 towels and the next they would only leave two. They never gave us more shampoo, conditioner, nor mouth wash. The pool is indoors and has a 180FT water slide but fails to deliver. The pool is a square shape with 1/4 of set aside for a kiddie pool that is 1.5ft deep, another 1/4 of the pool is the slide landing zone and you can't swim in it. The rest of the pool is usable but often WAY to crowded to do anything but stand in one spot. The pool was heated and while the slide was open had 'staff' to enforce the rules. They also have a hot tub but didn't get to check it out. I would have been extremely disappointed paying normal price for this hotel but was content paying the $49 with Hotwire.
