  1. congrats! I was really surprised to see a hotel rate at this low! Wish you have a good trip in vegas!! woah priceline ROCKS :)
  2. Just for the 12/31 night alone, how much do u think the range for the bid would be on the strip area? I know it will be anywhere from 200+
  3. Hi, I need a bidding strategy for the trip for this coming March. I will need one room, 2 nights (3/2, 3/3). I am willing to bid up to 85-100 per night. I have successfully bid for a hotel room in USW Hilton Financial District before so I would like to bid again please give me advice/strategy and what is the most likely price range to get a room for this area. Thanks!
  4. I tried to bid the hotel via priceline up to $57/night. Failed. I guess I'll give another try tomorrow. The hotwire hotel list as 63 today (instead of 61!). So if i want to buy from hotwire for 2 rooms, should i put down as 4 adults , 2 child? or 2 adults, 1 child? thanks
  5. I think my friends would prefer somewhere more central, like aladdin. Is the one thats on hotwire most likely to be westin (the best value 4*?) how about using priceline to bid??? b/c we want to score something lower than the rate on hotwire. any stategy? If its cheap enough...I think we are fine with Westin too since its new and the heavnly bed is famous too :) there are 6 of us going together so we need 2 rooms and hopefully to get double beds :)
  6. Hi, I need 2 rooms from the 1/2/07 to 1/5 for 3 nights. I would like to have on the strip and 4* (or higher, if possible?) The lowest rate i seem on the hotwire for the 4* is around 61, so I would like to have a bidding strategy for the 4* hotel in Vegas on the strip please! and my maximum bid is 55 USD per room, per night, thank you in advance!
  7. Also, don't forget to put this on the priceline list! * I saw this in the hotwire list of the 3* but not priceline! so new hotel there!
  8. Did this on the last minutes, tried the bid for the strip got no success. Add the zone and got this hotel instead. I am sure there will be better offers than this one but I don't have much choice. Anyway, here is the detail. Your Offer Price: $60.00 Extend Your Stay Number of Rooms: 1 Number of Nights: 1 Subtotal: $60.00 Taxes & Service Fees: $13.56 Total Charges*: $73.56
  9. So is it like a one time only link or it can be working like a coupon link for people to use?
  10. Congrats! I live in the area so I drove by that marriott everyday on the way home. Its right next to 5 FWY and it has AMC right next door. Bunch fast food restuarants in the walking distance and its right next to the Norwalk City Hall. Its a pretty convinent location except the 5FWY jammed pretty much ALL the time (even 11pm-3am, cuz there are constructions going on occasionally). Enjoy ur stay!
  11. So that means some people got their reservations cancelled yet some people still got honored. I feel this is going to be a big issue for those who got cancelled. I can't find my reservation online tho, I guess i have to dig my paper copy then.
  12. So in this case, some people's reservation got cancelled yet others got honored or we have to wait & see on monday?
  13. UPDATED! Received this e mail minutes ago. Wondering if everyone else received this letter. Hopefully I will not be on the blacklist on PL in the future. This note is regarding your Name Your Own Price reservation for the La Quinta Resort & Club in Palm Springs, California. When you use priceline.com to make a Name Your Own Price hotel offer, we search a private database of inventories and prices provided by our partner hotels to try to match your offer. In the case of your La Quinta Palm Springs reservation, the hotel mistakenly loaded an incorrect rate into that private database - one so low that the hotel asked us to cancel some great Name Your Own Price deals our customers got at this hotel and allow you to rebook your reservations at a higher discounted rate. All of us at priceline.com stand behind the Name Your Own Price service and the value proposition for which it stands. So instead of cancelling your reservation, we have agreed to pay the hotel the difference between your offer price and the higher discounted rate that the hotel is offering, so that you can enjoy your stay at the priceline.com price you named. We would like to personally thank you for using priceline.com and we hope to serve you again in the future. Sincerely, Priceline Customer Service Team
  14. I agree. After the stay at the Grand Hyatt (at the new tower, high floor, away from elevator) = all granted except the fact that due to the fact there's an convention...they denyed us for the late checkout, but its OK. It was a nice gateaway, the only complain that I have for this hotel is the fact that the bed is not the new Grand Hyatt bed, it was kinda hard to sleep at night. I went to eat at buffet there on Sunday morning (Sunday brunch). It was great! I just came back from Vegas this past wkend and I ate at Wynns and Bellagios and Rio..I have to say that Hyatt they have very good quality seafood (esp raw oysters, YUM). Their desserts are excellent as well. I would say it is one of the best buffet place in the area (I personally don't think Hotel Del Mar's brunch is ALL that from what I saw). I heard their Friday night seafood dinner buffet got a great selection of seafood so if for you seafood lovers, try it out. Don't miss out the huge swimming pool and the tennis courts on site, they are NICE!.
  15. Wow Le Meridan is a super nice hotel! I bypass one in Japan..it looks SUPER nice, I hope they can join priceline in Tokyo so I can bid on it later this year when I visit there. Sounds like this is a much better deal than the Inter-Continental hotel on the review. Too bad i am not going there tho!
  16. Hyatt is nice! I don't know if the remodel is done or not. I stayed at Le Soleli hotel during my visit to Vancouver in Aug 05. It was very nice property, close to everything in a walking distance (I basically walk my way in downtown vancouver). Its very nice time to visit in Augest and the foods are GReAT! enjoy ur stay.
  17. I think Caesars Palace got 140/night promote on that weekend as I checked previously (about 1-2 weeks ago) with the free upgrade to the Palace tower. Maybe that's a better deal than staying @ Venetian's.
  18. Just to add on , the hotel price for the night on website is 169 - 189 usd/night! what a great deal!
  19. Was helping my friend to book a 4* hotel for his business trip. First bid at $50 was rejected, counter-offered $16 more for a free rebid. Declined & Add a zone (Airport = Free Rebid) at $54 dollars and got accepted! Was Hoping for W Hotel but oh wells. What's the difference b/t JW Marriott and the regular Marriott? Used SB Link to start bidding. Check-In Date: Sunday, August 13, 2006 Check-Out Date: Wednesday, August 16, 2006 Hotel Name: Marriott Jw New Orleans 614 Canal Street New Orleans, Louisiana 70130 504-525-6500 Your Offer Price: $54.00 Number of Rooms: 1 Number of Nights: 3 Subtotal: $162.00 Taxes and Service Fees: $34.65 Total Charges: $196.65 Also bid on the cars via priceline. Should I post the winning bid in the car section of the board?
  20. Was Bidding last night got success and booked for the family vacation for the Lunar New Year/President's Day weekend. Can someone confirm if the deal is still valid for other weekends or not? couple of my friends tried to book for this weekend but all got rejected. This is one of the best deal of the year on priceline! Your Price Has Been Accepted Congratulations, you got your price of $25 for a hotel room, and we've upgraded your hotel quality level to a resort hotel!La Quinta Resort And Club Check-In Date: Friday, February 16, 2007 Check-Out Date: Sunday, February 18, 2007 Rancho Mirage-Indian Wells-Palm Desert 49-499 Eisenhower Drive La Quinta, California 92253 760-564-4111 Check-In Date: Fri, Feb 16, 2007 Check-In Time: After 04:00 PM Check-Out Date: Sun, Feb 18, 2007 Check-Out Time: 12:00 PM Your Offer Price: $25.00 Extend Your Stay Number of Rooms: 3 Number of Nights: 2 Subtotal: $150.00 Taxes & Service Fees: $25.35 Total Charges: $175.35
  21. I just came back from SD, the Westin is REALLY nice, its right next to the horton plaza and gaslamp quarter (the buildings are attached w/each other) so you will have no problem to find places to eat/things to do. Only concern there is that parking is expensive. There's a Ralphs nearby too so you don't have to bring anything down other than money & camara i think, have fun with ur trip!
  22. would they ever cancel ur request even if its been accepted like those price mistake on Amazon.com?
  23. Hi! I checked the website it shows 188/night..can u link me where do u find the 114/night ? yes i did booked last night around 10pm, thanks!
  24. My friend booked this hotel on the Sheraton website as a backup (and they really needed to stay at this hotel because they need to take board exam where Sheraton is only one block away from the test site). So we were focus on the hotels in downtown area only. Good thing that they have few rebid zones available. Started bidding $100 (Where hotel website listed for 188/nt). rejected Added rebid zone and increase to $125, accepted! Your Offer Price: $125.00 Number of Rooms: 1 Number of Nights: 2 Subtotal: $250.00 Taxes and Service Fees: $46.40 Total Charges: $296.40 It saved my friend $100 for 2 nights! thanks! and they are very pleased about it. We should've tried $110 first but oh well, it is all good as long as they can get the hotel that's close to them. Used SB link to bid. If anyone been to the hotel, pleae share ur experience as well! (my friends need 2 double beds), thanks all!
