Bid $99.00 for a hotel in the Downtown-Pike Place area and checked 4 star only. Was DENIED on first attempt for $90.00 and Priceline said (on my denial) that if I'd raise my bid to $100 immediately, I could keep my criteria the same & and rebid for a confirmation. I did it immediately and was awarded Vintage Park for $99.00. Bid at 9:00 pm (from my flight right before landing in SEA) on 8/28/12 for same day check in. Stay Dates: (IN) 8/28/12 - (OUT) 8/29/12 Taxes & Fees: $23.09 for a total of $122.09 with an option to extend stay at same price. Thanks for keeping this site going! Super helpful. I just booked a 4-Star Atlanta (Hartsfield Airport South) for $50. My check-in date was 8/28 and check-out was 8/29. I won the $50 bid and got the Westin. Total after fees was $64.60. Incredibly nice place. Really enjoyed it last Saturday night... looking forward to another great weekend! Ashley

Just won a PRICELINE bid for a Roundtrip ticket from Atlanta, GA to Peoria, IL. Departing: 8/29/10 Returning: 9/11/10 $165 (before fees) $216 (total after taxes & fees) Lowest published price was $388.80 (total). Total savings of $172.20!!! Very excited!

Did you get this for $90 (US Dollars) or $90 (Euro)? When I went to the website, everything was listed as euro, so just curious. Great bid either way! Congrats!

Sorry for the delay in posting this. I didn't have time to post until now. On Friday, August 20, 2010, I put a bid of $45 in for a 4-Star Atlanta (Hartsfield Airport South). My check-in date was 8/21 and check-out was 8/22. I won the $45 bid and got the Westin. Total after fees was $58.80. Incredibly nice place. Hopefully I'll win the same place for next weekend! Ashley

I am going to be on HHI from the 8th thru the 11th. I really cannot afford more than $120/$125 per night. I am willing to stay at a cheaper place on the 8th since we will be getting there around 5 or 6. So, as long as I can have a decent place (resort with lots to do, etc) for the night of the 9th & 10th, I will be happy. I am actually going to try one more time using the 9th & 10th since I haven't used these dates yet. Is that smart? Is it 24 hours from last bid or 24 hours from first bid, or does it reset at midnight? Thank you so much for your reply! I haven't had a vacation in forever and am desperate for some relaxation!!! Hello! I am planning a last minute trip to Hilton Head Island, SC for July 8 thru July 11. I am on a budget & haven't had a vacation in almost 2 years. I have a few days and MUST get away and obviously want to make the most of my time and get the best value for my hard earned dollar! I have bid the following on Priceline so far and was declined each time: July 8-11: Resorts $85/Night (HHI) July 8-9: Resorts $75/Night (HHI) July 8-11: Resorts $95/Night (HHI & Bluffton) July 8-10: Resorts $105/Night (HHI & Bluffton) Any suggestions on how to get a resort for a decent price? Any tricks? Is it possible that I can try again tomorrow & have better results than today? Or am I wasting my time to try the same numbers? Also, I tried it for one night to see if i'd get anything... I am under the impression that I can "extend stay" once I am awarded. Is that true? Any help is appreciated. THANK YOU! Ashley

Today I had to plan a last minute weekend trip to Gulf Shores and everything I've checked is all booked up... I think this is the only 2.5 on Priceline in Gulf Shores. I tried $80, got rejected... I tried $100, and got rejected... I ended up with a bid of $120 and was awarded one night at the Courtyard. Dates: June 2, 2006 - June 3, 2006 Courtyard By Marriott Gulf Shores 3750 Gulf Shores Parkway Gulf Shores, AL 36542 When I called the Hotel to give bed preference and ask for an early check in, the new guy told me that Priceline has these at $99, so I am assuming if I had tried $110, I would have been awarded :-(. I just didn't want to be rejected again, so I jumped from $100 to $120. :-(. I also tried Perdido Key Beach (Orange Beach) and everything on Priceline was booked so I couldn't even bid. ~Ashley

I tried up to $120 and got rejected. Also, we went on the trip and the place was really nice. They fulfilled all of our room requirements (i.e. bed preference, early checkin) and we had a pleasant stay.

I did this today. I tried everything up to $130 and got denied for a resort... looks like it's going to be a busy weekend. I tried $130 and ended up with this :-). Still a really good price. On the hotel's website... it's about $100 more per night.
