  1. For anyone that may be looking for a good deal on a Walt Disney World Resort, I came across a listing that appears to almost certainly be for the Art of Animation Resort. The listing is as follows (the dates I found this for were 08/12-08/18, as well as some other random dates I put in for August and July): *3 star - Bonnet Creek, 8+ rating, 70 reviews -- $117/night -restaurant -indoor/outdoor pool -free internet I am pretty much certain this is the Art of Animation Resort because of the 8+ rating and the number of reviews. The only other 3* options in the area that have a 8+ rating are All-Star Music and Pop Century, but they have significantly more than 70 reviews. Art of Animation is listed at 75 reviews. Also, the other reason I am fairly certain is that a room with a kitchen is listed as an option. No other 3* hotels in the area have this option, except for All-Star Music (but they have less than 8+ rating). If you keep up with the price for this resort, THIS DEAL (at least for 08/12-08/18) is exceptional. I haven't purchased it because I already have a hotel for my trip to Disney (I got the Dolphin for $74/night), but if I didn't get that deal, I definitely would've jumped on this one. If you do book this deal, or any third party reservation for that matter, and want to link it to your Disney account, just call technical support at Disney and they will link it for you 🙂 Happy hunting! I glad I was able to come across and share this amazing deal!
  2. It looks like Priceline also has this same hotel for those dates for $84/night. It's the 3.5* express deal with a 9+ rating. You can also use the 5% off coupon from better bidding for PRICELINE EXPRESS deals.
  3. I had seen that a few other users were successful at getting the Dolphin for such a good price, so I gave it a try and was successful myself!! Amenities are as follows: Resort, Smoke-free rooms, Fitness center, Pool(s), Restaurant(s), Business center, Self-service laundry, Internet access, Golf nearby, Tennis nearby, Spa services, Children's activities, Accessible for visually impaired, Accessible for hearing impaired, Accessible path of travel, In-room accessibility, Accessible bathroom, Accessible parking, Roll-in shower There were a couple things I noticed when I was looking at this deal the past few days: Firstly, sometimes it will say that the last person who booked this got the Wyndham Grand Vacation Resort. This is false for this deal and it was throwing me off at first. If you play with the occupancy numbers and put in 4 adults instead of 2 adults / 2 adults & 2 children, the Wyndham will come up instead of the Dolphin and you can tell by the amenity list and the number of tripadvisor reviews. This is a seriously amazing deal when you're looking at both the regular price for this resort and the price of the surrounding deluxe resorts at Disney.
  4. I saw that other users were successful at getting the Dolphin, so I sought that deal out and was successful! I will make a separate post with the details.
  5. Thank you for the feedback. I am looking at some other options right now, but will definitely keep the board updated :)
  6. Region: Disney Maingate West Dates: August 12-18 Amenities: Free Parking, Free Breakfast, Business Center, Fitness Center, Non Smoking, Pets Allowed, Restaurant, Swimming Pool Guest Rating: 9+ Price: $70/night It seems to me that this is the Towne Place Suites? If so, this is an AWESOME deal.
  7. I decided to book one night through disney since I had my gift card and I booked the other night @ $107 through Expedia, which was the cheapest option. I tried NYOP a few times and bid up to $75 with no success. I think disney only likes doing discounted room for certain times of the year? Maybe I'll have more success my next trip down there. Thank you for all of the advice!
  8. I have had a few purchases in the past, but don't religiously use this site. Please accept my apologies if I offended you. I'll try to better myself and post when I purchase :) So to be clear, if there is no resort fee shown, I won't be getting a hotel with a resort fee? I'm a little confused. I think I'll go ahead and purchase a placeholder reservation through Disney since I have a $50 gift card. I have to cancel by Feb 28, and if I notice any hotwire or priceline express deals before then, I'll look into those.
  9. Looking at the list of hotels in that area on Priceline right now, it looks like the only non-Disney hotels on there are the Wyndham Grand Orlando, Wyndham Bonnet Creek, the Swan and Dolphin and the Four Seasons, all of which charge resort fees (with the exception of the four seasons, which is out of the question anyways). Doesn't it always tell you if you'll get charged resort fees, even with NYOP? If this is the case, I think that it should be safe to go through with a bid. What are your thoughts?
  10. From my research, it looks like the only 3* hotels in that area on Priceline are Disney hotels. In this case do you advise doing a NYOP, or should I wait and see if a PRICELINE EXPRESS deal or hotwire deal comes out? My desired budget would be around $70-$80/night.
  11. I've had the same issue in the past. You need to call and ask for tech support. They should be able to link it over for you. You could also try doing the chat option from the WDW website and click the "technical help and online booking" option. That might also work.
  12. Also, what do you think would be a good bid? All Star Sports is currently going for $103/night on PRICELINE (I don't think Music is a viable option since they only have family suites left right now)
  13. I was trying to locate the most affordable on site option for Disney World. There don't seem to be any deals posted on priceline or hotwire for the value resorts at Disney. I did find this name your own price: Area: Walt Disney World- Bonnet Creek Star Rating: 3* Amenities: 7+ guest score, swimming pool From what I can tell, if I have a winning bid, I should get a Disney resort- either All-Star Sports or Music. Can someone offer me any insight? I'm pretty sure it is an on site hotel, but I want to be absolutely certain. I HAVE to stay on property. Thank you in advance!
