THANK YOU!
Just those 3 areas to start out with please.Did you only want to bid MTE, MTW, and TS to begin... or include other areas which are generally considered centrally located?
Yes please, least expensive, 3* or better.... but to confirm, you prefer the least expensive 3* or better, correct?
Least Exensive between 3 and 3.5 star is fine! Are you willing to pay more for a 3.5* vs. a 3* OR is your goal the least expensive 3* or better for this stay?
Don't need a huge room but would like 2 beds, I know there is no guarantee! 15 minute walk is fine. How far of a walk do you consider 'near'? Is a 15 minute walk to the subway close enough? What are your thoughts about extremely small rooms... would such a room be acceptable?
I am looking for a hotel room in NYC for the dates of Aug 31 to Sept 3, 2012. Would like a 3 to 3.5 star hotel under $200 per night. WOuld like to be in Times Square, midtown east or west area but not limited to that area. Would like to be near a subway. Thank you in advance!
Thank you theruare for your help! I love this board! I dont know if it helped, but I did use the PRICELINE link on here to purchase my hotel room!
Romelle: I want to thank you for all the effort you went to in helping me obtain a hotel. I had to stick with Priceline or I would have lost my $100 credit. I gave up bidding, I was up to $106 a night. For $129 I chose the Towneplace Suites by Marriott which is right downtown on the Priceline website that has fixed prices.
I thank all who took the time to help me. See you next time! :)
Sincerely,
Laura
Thanks Romelle. Our son lives downtown so he can come and get us. I do hate how they group downtown and stockyard together when everyone else seperates them. I will post what I win....thanks for your help!
I tried all the combinations listed beldow and no luck. Could I get a bidding strategy for a 3 star downtown May 29th to June 3rd? Thank you! Dont really want to go over $85.
I would be more than willing to split it.....should I do Tue, Wed, Thu and then Fri, Sat seperately?
Nobody can see if rates will come down between now and your stay or move even higher, but for a further discussion on this subject please see the related 'Bid Early or Close to Check-in' link in our PRICELINE FAQ.
I did note that at some hotels the midweek nites are more expensive then the weekend nites, is SPLITTING YOUR PRICELINE BID an option?
Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases.
Hello: I just tried my bidding strategy for downtown Ft Worth/stockyards using all 9 rebid zones. :( Am I just bidding too early? My dates are May 29th to June 3rd. Thank you!
Did you want to bid for a 3.5* first, then if rejected try for a 3*... OR is your goal the least expensive 3* or better for this trip?
I would prefer the 3.5 star, it is very important that I am downtown. A 3 star would be fine if it is near downtown. Thank you!
Thank you Romelle!
Need a hotel in Ft Worth May 29th to June 3, 2012. Need to stay in downtown zone. Would like a 3.5 star or 3 star. If I have to I can choose a 2.5 star, just not sure of whats out there. Can I please get a bidding strategy? Would like to start at $60 and not go over $85. Thank you!
Well I messed up on the area I chose for my Priceline win. I was supposed to choose downtown cause my son lives on 7th street west. I thought he said to pick downtown or west....tuurns out the hotel I chose was pretty far away and in a bad part of town . Priceline was kind enough to let me out of my contract for a $25 fee. I have to rebook....how do I go about that? Thank you!
Won The Marriott Courtyard Forth Worth West Lands End. I bid $50 for a 3.5 star downtown, got rejected. Re-bid $55 and added West, got rejected. Re-bid $58, added 3 star, won hotel. This is for 5 nights, May 29 to June 3rd. Thank you!
Looking for the lowest rate so 3 star would be fine. Could I please add Ft Worth West to my list of hotel choices? Thank you!
Need bidding advice on 3 to 3.5 star hotel in Fort Worth, Texas please. Would prefer downtown-stockyards. Five nights needed for May 29, 2012 and would like to pay around $60 to $70 per night. Thank you!
SORRY!! The dates are September 28th to October 2
I bid through Better Bidding link and put in $40 for a 2.5 star hotel. They came back and said change your star rating I changed it to a 3 star and they automatically bumped the price to $50. This is a newer Holiday Inn which gets rave reviews.
Thank you all!!!
