Just to confirm, this is also for 8/21-24, as your current Priceline San Francisco thread?
Thank you for using the board's HOTWIRE or PRICELINE links to start your purchases and searches.
Well, it *was* I never got responses nor email saying this response was made so I never did get a hotel in SF but rather outside SF without bidding or express.
I love this site, and hope one day it will help me, because honestly, so far it has not. Replies keep getting delayed, meanwhile the deals are no longer so even if I got reply their not available on PL or HW anymore. Is this because I didn't report a win? I didn't have a win. If I did, I would gladly have posted it. I stayed outside of SF in San Leandro to save $, bought straight from hotel, I never won anything because SF is so freaking expensive which is nuts because the weather blows.
I have in fact contributed to this site by reporting a win in Milpitas, Seal Beach and Santa Clara :)
The above hotels are GONE. I will post my next 2 but I have to make decision fast and likely wont hear back in time. This site seems to be the most comprehensive of its type, but replies are so few. I wish I could find more answers here, if not from people, a list of some sort that shows the dates of wins for dates of stay with star rating and anemnities for specific locations I maybe don't know how to fully use this site.
Thanks.

I noticed this hotel may be the same one listed on expedia "unpublished rates" and Travelocity "top secret" apparently they are copying Priceline express and Hotwire Hot deals.
It this hotel was not on hotwire but the other 2 just mentioned, where would I post this topic since their split by Priceline and Hotwire only?
I noticed a hotel, same stars and location, previously named here, but not sure it's the same one, Hotel Whitcomb. I'd post the link but can't because my copy and paste function stopped working :(
Never b4 has it as important as now to know the hotel name, because SF parking prices are insane highway robbery.
Thanks for any help!
BIG CLARIFICATION!!!
So sorry I meant $60 for PARKING a night above, with taxes, for most downtown SF hotels, not for the price of the hotel. I didn't specify, duh.
How ridiculous did that sound that I would have issue with $60 a night hotel, especially in SF hahah.
Thanks for reminding me, I went and posted on the Seal Beach deal.
I thought I posted what my folks got but apparently I forgot. The 3 star ended up being Ayres and they said it was pretty good, not great, but not bad at all :)
the 2.5 I do not know which it was since we didn't get it. Though I suspect Pacific Inn.

It says save 25% or more
Bed options include 1 kind or 2 double bed with fridge, one option also gives microwave for $155. (for half that you can get a 4 star in SJ area, yeah, I know SJ blows, but SF is 4X as expensive!!!)
No guest rating which worries me, plus it's a 2 star, never went that low before, but dang, this city is crazy expensive for one without magnificent tropical beaches. Worried about booking it but when I heard downtown SF hotels are $60 with taxes a night, I didn't want to bid on any hotels knowing this.
Thanks!
My friend ended up getting Hyatt Regency $80 a night on Priceline April 25-Apr 27 on Price.line name your own price, FYI. We worked on it for weeks though, it didn't come easy!
Here's my problem with this Seal Beach Hotel below. When I look at the regular priced non express deals, the only 3 star in seal beach with the anemnities listed below is Ayres, which is what we wanted. But on the regular hotel beach Ayres is shown as a 9 rating not 8. There are others that fit the description, anemnities and rating exactly, but their not Seal beach but surrounding area, like Fountain Valley. So I assume when the express deal says Seal Beach, they don't mean Long Beach, Fountain Valley or any other city that is in the area. I really would like to get Ayres. Thanks!

Unfortunately, my traveling partner didn't get work approval so now things are up in the air after all that research. Once it's figured out, I will likely post here again.
Trip was cancelled.
I don't understand any of this :( I already said the Vegas trip was cancelled in the very thread of the link you provided, what more can I say beyond that? I don't know how to prove that :/ I'd rather not be reminded of a trip that I was looking forward to but didn't happen.
How are the 2 posts merged into one when in one I asked about a hotel in San Jose and the other I asked about a hotel in Santa Clara? All I see here now is a title for Santa Clara? Even if the 2nd post is for San Jose, now it's hard to tell, people won't know that per the title. I guess if they were to be merged and I had to choose one, SJ would be it since it's a bigger city.
I understand you want me to use the links to make a purchase, and I will, but I did not yet make a hotel purchase and I still don't have any info on the 2 hotels I asked about. I would be happy to give this board credit when I have at least some useful info to use. Right now I feel like I am being scolded for not going to Vegas and not saying so, when in fact I did so and closing out the thread would have been appropriate.
Maybe I will try the Priceline and Hotwire Calendar of Wins again, but it didn't work for me before. Perhaps I am too dumb for this board.
Sorry I posted too much info on the hotel above. I wish though that the other hotel title and not deleted, especially since San Jose is bigger and maybe I would have had a response on that hotel ID question. I guess I should have had said separate trips in order for you to allow both posts. I don't get why though since people are sometimes willing to stay in more than one area and would go to an area based on price. Seems like that would be more important. And that's how Priceline works too.
Hi there,
OK so the link sent me to in your response was Priceline, but I was trying to ID Hotwire Hotels. I love the idea of this board, but it confuses me greatly. Also when I tried to look at the calendar to see what people have won for my areas, it shows me nothing. I don't know if I am doing things wrong or what :(
Also, for the Las Vegas situation I posted this last and nothing has changed since then in order for me to update:
"my traveling partner didn't get work approval so now things are up in the air after all that research. Once it's figured out, I will likely post here again."
However, for San Jose, I already have airfare so it's a done deal, I have to go.
I see my Santa Clara posting here, but not my San Jose one? Their 2 different areas, 2 different hotels I was trying to ID so I naturally did 2 posts, but now one is gone?
I went to edit my response yet somehow got a duplicate response from myself on here, maybe because I pressed the back button? Not sure.
I use to get notified of messages on here but not anymore.
Last year I stayed at a 3.5 hotel for $60 on Priceline in Milpitas, but Milpitas is too far from where I need to be which is near the Univ in Santa Clara, West San Jose works too. Now when I go to Priceline I can't get a 4 star for that price and have to wait 24 hours to try that price for 3.5 stars. I could not even find 3.5 stars for decent price in Hotwire so I had to go down to 3. Anyone know what hotel this could be? The areas are big so it's hard to commit not having any idea. Unlike Priceline, Hotwire does not have a West Jose option. Thanks.

OK so last year I got $60 a night in a 3.5 in Milpitas via Priceline name your own price. But this year I need to be closer to the university in Santa Clara, but I don't have to be super close either, just fairly close, West San Jose works too. Does anyone know which hotel this could be? It's a bummer because on Priceline I could not get $60 four star and now I have to wait 24 hours to try $60 for 3.5 star.

Thank you thereuare! So people mostly got Palazzo, do they ever get Venitian? Are they the same anemnities that we can't really distinguish North Strip hotels minus Trump which is easy.
Good to know on the beds, because on SW packages you get the double bed option at these very hotels, so it better be a way sweeter deal on priceline to take that risk. We'd be happy with 2 doubles, need not be queens at all.
I'd be OK with Palazzo and Venitian, esp Palazzo, even though Wynn and Encore were the first choices, for the right price I am happy with the others. I will definitely use the link here if I buy. Unfortunately, my traveling partner didn't get work approval so now things are up in the air after all that research. Once it's figured out, I will likely post here again.
Thank you!
P.S. What do they call middle of the strip options if the ends are north and south when choosing your area on hotwire and priceline?
Hi Aaron,
Thanks for your response. I am confused as to why one of my threads was removed? At least I think it was, I cannot locate it. Because one posting was under the PRICELINE category with that specific info, and the other posting was under the HOTWIRE category and gave specific info that that hotel as well. Now I only see one of my postings.
Also, can you please remove my dupliate posting that begins "Hi all! Sorry forgot to say in the title that this is using HOTWIRE no bid deals...." My title was actually correct, that one was for Priceline Express, I got confused when my hotwire posting disappeared, now I cannot compare it to the other posting since it's gone. They were not related because they were for different sites. Yes, I chose 5 stars for both. I wish I knew if it was Palazzo or Venitian, how can you tell it's not Wynn or Encore? Did you guess one of them based on my PRICELINE or HOTWIRE posting? Because one was a better price...
Also, how difficult is it to get a 2nd bed when you arrive, and will they charge more? Thanks!
OK so resort fee does not help at all, because Wynn, Encore, Palazzo and Venitian are all $25. The $28 I mentioned earlier is simply a $3 resort fee tax, it's not that some are $28 and others $25 like I thought. So now it could be any one of them, except that Palazzo is the only one showing at a 9 rating which it said this hotel was, the rest are super close though, don't know how exact they are....???
So the best price option was pet friendly, I already know that is Trump so I went on to the only other 5 star North end option. They mention the $28 hotel charge below ($84 for 3 days), I know Wynn charges that, what about what Palazzo, Encore and Venitian charge? What distinguishes these hotels as far as anemnities? Also, I noticed on Priceline that Palazzo is the only one listed as a 9.0 rating that is 5 stars, the rest are close, 8.9, 9.1 etc... so assuming this is exact and always updated, then it would have to be Palazzo right?
Too bad I can't name my own price on Priceline because all I can do is choose stars and location, so I'd likely end up with Trump, that's why I thought I'd try express Priceline deals.
Once I buy, is there a place to choose 2 beds versus 1 king? Because when I look into buying a package with SW airlines, it allows me to choose for the same price 2 beds at Wynn basic room, but buying hotel separately only shows me kings. Any help appreciated, thanks!

Hi all!
Sorry forgot to say in the title that this is using Hotwire no bid deals. I did another post for Priceline Express Deals.
This hotel is NOT pet friendly,so I know it's not the Trump which I decided to avoid. But how do I know if it's Wynn, Encore, Palazzo or Venitian? What are distinguishing anemnities? I know that Wynn charges $25 + $3 resort fee, total $28, so then it can't be Wynn? Or are they not counting the $3 when they say $25 resort fee.
Also, is there a way to choose 2 beds rather than 1 for the same price? 2 doubles or queens does not matter. I didn't go through with booking it's not a super deal or anything, not sure if there will be a place later to select beds? I noticed on SW Airlines it gives you double bed option for the least expensive room, but only in a package, booking hotel separately on SW or Priceline, there are only King options. Any help appreciated, thanks!
