  1. I am now staying here, totally agree with the above. But they did not mention the $4.95 fee, though I did see the plate on the counter showing that. I would definitely refuse to pay that if they did put it on my bill. Last time I was in Orlando, Best western tried to charge me the so called resort fee and I just told them I would not pay it. I would say, if I had a chance to read the above reviews, I would try my best to cancel the reservation. I got good reason because it was snowing in Albuquerque and I live there. Fortunately or unfortunately I escaped from ABQ just the day before the big snow. :)

And I got big rain here in New Orleans. Sigh... :o

Also I have to pay $20 per day for parking. :)

  2. The best price you could get may be $74 for the date.

I tried $40,$50,$60,$65, all of these told me I need to pay $84.

So I tried $70, said I need to add $22.

(I knew it could be pretty close to the bottom line)

OK, then I tried $75, got it.

    Therefore, I started trying $71, 72, 73, 74. Finally I got it at $74.

    Happy bidding.

  3. I use Google Earth(not google map). It's a software. It can give you very detailed satellite map. If you are interested, you may download it at earth.google.com

Actually I did see a barrier at the entrance of the parking lots surrouding Hampton inn(at the way out). But there is also a large parking lot between Hampton inn and Hilton, and I saw no barrier. So I suppose this is the "free" parking lot of Hampton inn(not hilton's), because the entance is towards Hampton.

And this makes some sense, because I really notice a very interesting phenomenon, that is, a lot of cars are parked near Hilton and nearly all places are occupied, while the side near Hampton still has a lot of vacant places. :)

Anyway, I will check it out during my stay. :)

  4. If I knew this, I would bid for a 2* hotel. Anyway I should not complain more, it is the cheapeast after all.

I used to stay at Hyatt Regency in Disneyland area in LA twice. They also charge parking fee. I parked my car in other hotels' parking lots easily, because there was no barrier :) . I wonder if it will be the same case for Hampton inn. I could not find a barrier on the satellite map. :)
