mmm I was thinking the same when I finished my booking to Venice Italy.  I saved about 30% discount. Not that huge for a secret deal. I've done better with secret deals from other sites.

Amenities weren't many. Just free breakfast and free wifi. That's it. Not a lot to go on. I went on hotwire hotels for other countries on this site and checked out 4 of the 4* listed. So took pot luck as they all said pretty much the same thing.

Can't believe how expensive Venice is.

Tried the Secret deal on HOTWIRE. Seemed a reasonable price for two nights in Venice for 4 star. Looks like an ok hotel. Would have liked Hotel Carlton but a secret deal is get what you get.

The places we liked were $200 more for two nights and they were 3 star! Better had on having nice meals, enjoying the city than sleeping in it.

I had another look and I see it's just on near border of it. As you said, the southern tip. Thanks for pointing that out. My bad.

I will be more discerning re zones in future. It is a very large zone. As they say "buyer beware".

This was the first time I used PRICELINE. Will have to search this board for more good tips. Good to have this forum to check up on things. Hopefully the hotel will be pleasing, if not the location.

I see why I was perhaps not clear.

So to clarify:

Option 1) I did pick Museum Quarter as well as a couple of others (Central Canals and City Centre). This hotel seems to be much further away. More in a business district.

I emailed Priceline and have yet to hear from them. I am interested in other's feedback.

I am new to this so any advice is appreciated.

I would like to know if this has happened to others on Priceline

I realized after booking that it is in an area not requested so I will follow this up with PRICELINE and see if they will play ball. Not very happy with this result.

I did use your PRICELINE link on the board to purchase this.

A little further away from where we wanted to be but hope it's ok. Just looked it up, average reviews. Will cross fingers...
