Last minute decision for a hotel in Atlanta 9/6/09 - 9/7/09, I bid $50 for a 4* hotel in the Perimeter area, and got the Crowne Plaza Ravinia on the first try. Noticed it was rated 3.5* on the list of hotels. Looks like they've bumped up the rating.

I would like to seek some strategy for bidding on a two night stay on Hilton Head Island for May 4th to May 6th for two rooms. I have bid $65, and $71, with my next bid slated for tomorrow after the 24 hour wait time. It seems that there's some kind of event going on that weekend because prices are up. Thanks.

I wanted a three star hotel in Historic District Savannah, GA. 1) I bid $65 for a resort...got rejected 2) then I added 3 star for 70...got rejected 3) then I added 2.5 star for 75...got rejected 4) then I added an additional area to my bid (Savannah Airport) which according to the posted "Priceline hotel List" only had a 1 star available. My intention was to add that area with the knowledge that if they couldn't find a 2.5 star in the Savannah Airport area, that it would automatically give me another bid in the Historic District area. 5) I bid $80 on that bid and unfortunately won the 2.5* Staybridge Suites Savannah Airport. Please add the 3.5* Staybridge Suites to the Savannah Airport list of hotels.

I bid on two nights at a 3 star hotel in Marietta and got the Hyatt Regency Suites Perimeter Northwest for $35 each night on the first try.

The Hilton Head Marriott Beach and Golf Resort for only $140 a night! Their website has prices going for $289 a night. On my first attempt, I bid $140 for a resort in Hilton Head, SC from Sun, July 23rd, 2006 to Thursday, July 27th, 2006, and got it! The fact that this is also my honeymoon is an added bonus, and a cheaper alternative than renting a condo.
