Thank you for your help. With the taxes and fees the hotel became $262 plus an 18% resort fee at the hotel. Still cheaper than booking the Caribe Hilton direct but I'm not going to risk it. Thanks again for your input.

Booked the La Concha through Hot.wire. $174/night

I am most interested in the Marriott Stellaris in Condado and would pay $179 for that hotel. I am not interested at all in the Sheraton Convention Center and would not want to risk getting that location. I would be happy with other oceanfront resorts ( Intercontinental, Caribe Hilton, La Concha) but in the $125-150 price range.

I am looking a year in advance. I have a couple of favorite hotels in San Juan and am watching just in case they pop up as a PRICELINE EXPRESS deal on either hotwire or priceline.

We have one room booked at the Condado Villas at the Caribe Hilton using honors points. I need an additional room and thought if this was the same property the price is better than anywhere else. If I were to book two rooms at another property it could end up costing more money.
