I would be willing to go up to $250 per night for something amazing, but I'd rather keep it under $200. I am attending a conference at Javitz, but I don't mind walking, the subway or taxi service. I'd rather not stay below Tribeca. Please keep in mind I am a solo female traveler.

Thought I'd better update before I start my next quest. I ended up being given the gift of lodging in the form of Hyatt gift cards, so I did not use HOTWIRE or PRICELINE for my trip in August. About to pick your brains again for info for a trip in February! :) Thank you again for all the help!

I'll be glad to share any deals I get in the future! :) I would prefer to stick to the Times Square or Midtown vicinity because I am taking a friend who has never been to NYC and I know she will enjoy the area. So TSN or TSS, Midtown East, or Central Park South would all work if the price was right. I would prefer to keep under $200 for a 4* to 5* hotel.
