1. Thank you for the additional recommendations. Will definitely look into the Lincoln Park area. If we have time (probably not) will just ride the subway to Wrigley to get a "touristy" photo op. Embassy Suites has good reviews and this way we have more room and free food/ drinks! :) Thanks again for all your help.
2. Since prices have been going up, changed my request from 4 to 3.5. Saw this deal on PRICELINE EXPRESS for $112 so glad we got it for little bit less. Happy with location and free breakfast. Thanks for the help on the Hot.wire deals also. Started at 80 and won at 100. Used your PRICELINE link.
3. I am searching for 2 people but $150 is little more than I would like to pay. My range is around 100-135. I will continue to check Hotwire and Priceline. Thank you for your additional insight into the Lincoln Park area.
4. Thank you for the quick response. Allegro seems too west for us. I will keep my eye out for the Sheraton deal again. Looks like the $144 is no longer available as well. Will take your advice on the zoo instead of the pier also. Any thoughts on Blues club or bar or should we wait until I book a hotel?
5. There is 4 Chicago Loop-theater $117 Amenities Pet friendly Boutique hotel Fitness center Restaurant(s) Business center Internet access Spa services Accessibility Accessible bathroom Roll-in shower Is this area too west or central enough?
6. I apologize that I I did not include this in the original post... The rating is 90+ but when I check Tripadvisor it is at 77%. Do you know where the 90% is coming from? Thanks
7. Hello, We will be in Chicago for only 1 night 11/7-11/8 and looking to be in the center with easy access to subway (we do have full two days though). $134 Amenities Pet friendly Indoor pool(s) Smoke-free rooms Fitness center Pool(s) Restaurant(s) Business center Internet access I have also been looking into Priceline but didn't know if NMA-River N is too north to be in the center and MP, Loop, GP would be better area to bid. We can wait until the last minute to bid since I have seen the prices change as we get closer to the date. Our itinerary looks like The Cloud, subway ride to Wrigley Field, Navy Pier, Rookery Light, Girl & the Goat, and Lou Malnati's. We think we will also go to a blues show on Friday. Unfortunately one of us is afraid of heights so no Willis Tower :(. Thanks for any suggestions into areas, hotels, and activities!!
8. Thank you so much for all your help and for this forum! I am so excited! So I went over my original budget of 200 but for a 4.5 and for W, I am extremely pleased. Bid up to 220 and was countered back at 288 then I knew I was getting close. Bid up to 250 at 5 increments. Won thru your PRICELINE link.
9. Could I get help in identifying this hotel from express deal? Thank u! SoHo - Tribeca-Map it $254 per night Guest Rating: 8.0. Guest favorite Includes FREE Internet Shows, wifi, pet, food, fax, fitness
10. 203 for 4.5 185 for 4 But as I closer to the date I might raise the bid bc I'd rather spend 250 on 4, 4.5 and not on lower stars. Is there anything going on in NY that weekend besides Columbus? Oh and I won't be worried about winning a bid until I get to 2-3 days before my trip. Thanks for all the input.
11. Using other strategies that you have provided... 4.5 for CPS, Chelsea, ESB, soho, TS, MTE, MTW 4 for TS, MTE, MTW, CPS, HK, Chelsea, MSG, ESB And when I'm feeling little bit more desperate, I have added LES and DT to my 4 search.
12. Yikes did not know that it was a 2 rating. My friend booked that hotel. We will look for another back up. Also we are pretty open to all area except maybe DT and UES due to subway accessibility. Prefer central but open to most areas. I am doing two separates bids, one for 4 and another for 4.5. The range has been from 140 to 203.
13. Just a quick update. I have been using your link to bid on 4-4.5* from 150-200. I know you stated that it might be too low but I do have a back up that is cancelable and looking at express deals, there are some that are coming up in 250 range. If worse case I can book a express deal closer to my dates. I have been using the strategies in some of the other feed backs. Thanks and will let you know if anything books.
14. Hi, need some help in bidding strategy. Budget between 150-200. Would like 4 to 4.5 star in the area of MTE, MTW, MSG, CPS, ESB, TS, and the central area. I might consider DT but feel like its really far from everything else. Also if I wait closer to my date, i.e. 1-2 weeks before, do I have a better chance of a lower price? What will be more successful, 4 or 4.5? Thanks.
