  1. The areas I desire are ESB, Hell's Kitchen, Madison sq garen, Midtown east, Midtown west, Times sq Theatre district and maybe Chelsea, Greenwich Village, and Central park south. Star rating is preferably 4* and nothing less than 3.5* (3.5* should be last resort, after trying the maybe regions above)
  2. I thought about the options and I think I'm going to do the bidding for a 3.5*+ hotel with the max budget of $300 (preferably around $260). I've seen quite a bit of 4* hotels in the $80 range located in the midtown area so I don't think this is impossible. Could you help me with a strategy? I'm willing to help out with the new thing that you are testing as long as it doesn't negatively affect my search!
  3. I'm looking for a 3* hotel in the city. Ideally Times Square/ESB area but as long as it's in the city it's fine. (No long island / airports / preferably more south than upper east/west side) Dates are for 1/8~1/11 total of 3 nights. I located a 3* express deal in the ESB area for $65 with the description of just Pets Allowed. Also found a hotwire listing for 3* in ESB area for $65 with the following description: Internet access Pet friendly Self-service laundry Smoke-free rooms 65% recommended Accessible for visually impaired Accessible for hearing impaired In-room accessibility Wheelchair accessible Accessible bathroom My guess is that those two listings are the same property and it is NH Jolly Hotel Madison Towers. What do you guys think? I've personally found some bad reviews about the hotel. Anyways I did see the exact same listing for $60 yesterday (on both sites again) so how should I approach in booking this property (or should I not)? Should I wait some more to see if the prices will fall again? Or should I use priceline bidding to try to scoop this up? In that case what should my strategy be? Thanks in advanced for any kind of help!!
  4. Went with the 3.5 Hotwire link and indeed got the Doubletree! Very satisfied by the location. Thank you AaronJB you are quite an expert at this.
  5. Ideally near downtown area. Indigo is too far up north, McCormick place is too far south. Also what might be North Michigan Ave - River North with Wifi, Pool, Dining, Office, and Gym icon? Guest rating of 8.0 at $57 per night
  6. The absolute max is $70 per day and of course, the lower the better while maintaining ideal location. Hoping to spend around $60 or lower. With ideal location, willing to go down a star level as well if lower price warrents it.
  7. Location is the most important factor to us for this trip. Indigo is way too far off our ideal location. We can sacrifice price a little for location. Ideally in the magnificent mile area or south of the river near the park. (McCormick place is too far south)
  8. North Michigan Ave - River North 3.5 stars with Wifi, Pet, Printer, Gym icons at $48 per night per room (2 rooms, if that matters). Dates are 3.7 ~ 3.8. Guest rating of 7.0 I think it might be Doubletree Chicago Magnificent Mile. But I need your opinion, as location matters quite a bit to me and my client.
  9. Started with $45 and worked my way up. Since this area has very limited number of hotels and there is only one area, I had to be persistent by re-bidding everyday. 2 nights totaling at $150.
  10. Started at $50, they told me to raise by $10, $20, $30 so I raised it by $5 and got it at $55. Total comes to $71.47. Good deal? Anything I should know about this hotel in particular?
  11. $64 for Hyatt Regency at Mccormick place (Med district). $81.82 including tax&fees. Started at $60 and got a message saying "if you're willing to increase by $14..." so I added Hyde Park which has no 4 star hotels with $64 bid and scored. Good deal?
