  1. Had been bidding numerous times (adding additional areas and rebidding), and eventually hit on this property (which was my desired hotel). Very pleased!
  2. Have been bidding for USE for the past few weeks (starting at $80), using multiple bids on multiple zones. Unfortunately, landed the Westin St Francis. The location is good, but the typical single double bed is simpy quite questionable for a 4* room. I can hope for a better room (or pay for an upgrade), but I have stayed here before, so I won't hold my breath
  3. First bid accepted (tired after struggling with San Francisco bids - repeatedly). Reviews are generally positive. I was expecting the Hilton (having stayed there a few times) Looking forward to trying this hotel
  4. I have booked through EasyClickTravel Travel for $182 a night at the Intercontinental. I haven't used EasyClickTravel Travel previously, but understand that I can cancel this booking without penalty, so I will likely continue to see if I can get a better deal through Priceline. Nevertheless, I am at a meeting in Century City starting the morning of the 12th, so this is a solid option.
  5. Hotwire rates are $246, but reflect a much smaller group of potential hotels (different locations included). But this is an excellent consideration.
  6. I am having difficulty getting an accepted offer in this location (Jan. 11 - 15, 2008). I am considering changing the dates to just Jan 12 - 14 (weekend only) and hoping it offers the option for additional days. Any experience with this approach?
  7. Can't recall my bid history exactly (booked over a month ago - forgot to post), but I think I started around $50 and added Non 4* areas until I received the accepted offer. A mediocre 4* hotel (I've stayed here before), but appears to be the most common near the Airport at this time. The Westin Los Angeles Airport 5400 West Century Blvd Los Angeles, California 90045 310-216-5858
  8. More Info. about Venetian Bid I should have noted that I came to these bids after starting my Bids @ $125, slowly working my way up by bidding other locations for 5* hotels. I was offered $235 (at the time of the initial bid) on seperate occasions. I have previously paid $100 for the Venetian, but it didn't seem like it was going to be that great a rate over the weekend (Thursday - Sunday). I had determined that I could get the Venetian on Hotwire for $245, so decided to try something over $200, but less than the $235 they had offered. I hope that is helpful.
  9. Initial bid $200 Offered rate of $235 Rebid $218 - Accepted
  10. My mistake. The dates should read 05/20/06 - 05/22/06. (Saturday and Sunday)
  11. Casino, Pool, Spa Services, Golf Nearby, Restaurant(s), Fitness Center, High-speed Internet Access, Business Center This is a Saturday check-in, which is a difficult proposition in LV. Also, the weekend is often more expensive. I had tried Priceline for around $100, but was getting nowhere. This was slightly more than The Orleans, but was closer to the Strip, and had a better rating. Some of the reviews have been less than ideal, but I hope it lives up to the Westin standard.
  12. Just booked this for Early April. Looks to be a great Hotel in Downtown LA $60 / night
