  1. Priceline Express 5* Vancouver, Downtown Coal Harbour, Stanley Park, Convention Centre, May 7-8, 2019, now $144 US I am now able to click through to the booking page on this express offer but still getting bed choice as the only amenity. Any idea?
  2. Thank you. I'm going to think on that - once I converted to CND$ it was higher than I originally thought, may have to go with a lower priced hotel a little further away, but will definitely use your link to book either way.
  3. My maximum budget is around $250 before taxes/fees.
  4. No, I am no longer able to click through on the Priceline hotels. My first choice would be Pan Pacific or one of the Fairmont hotels, but really any one with short walk to Canada Place. I realize taxi fares are less than $10 from most areas in Downtown but would just be nice to be right there close to Canada Place and the waterfront.
  5. 4.5* from HOTWIRE Vancouver Coal Harbour, Stanley Park, Convention Centre May 7-8, 2019 $220 US FULL AMENITIES: Free Internet, Resort, Pet friendly, Smoke-free rooms, Fitness center, Pool(s), Restaurant(s), Business center, Internet access, Accessible for hearing impaired, Accessible path of travel, In-room accessibility, Accessible bathroom, Accessible parking, Roll-in shower
  6. I know it is a little early but these prices I could live with if they are one of my preferred hotels. 4* Vancouver, Downtown Coal Harbour, Stanley Park, Convention Centre, May 7-8, 2019, $189 US Free internet Bed choice Fitness centre Non-smoking Pets allowed Restaurant Swimming pool 5* Vancouver, Downtown Coal Harbour, Stanley Park, Convention Centre, May 7-8, 2019, $145 US Bed choice -This one is not bringing up any amenities other than bed choice? Thanks for any help you can provide :)
  7. I think it happens once in a while but most often I get good rooms. My most recent hotwire win was an awesome waterview room. When booking from the hotel's own website it says not to expect a waterview unless booking a certain type of suite. There is one hotel that I have got terrible rooms in the oldest part of the hotel when booking through either Hotwire or Priceline so I now book directly with that hotel when I must stay there and request not to be in that building.
  8. Amenities: Free internet boutique hotel oceanfront hotel fitness centre restaurant(s) business centre self-service laundry internet access accessible hearing accessible path of travel in-room accessibility accessible parking accessible bathroom (Booked using the HOTWIRE link at top of page)
  9. May 25 - 26 Vancouver, BC - North Vancouver 3* 2 adults, 1 child $63 US Free internet, boutique hotel, oceanfront hotel, fitness center, restaurant(s), business center, self-service laundry. I'm pretty sure it is Lonsdale Quay Hotel but a second opinion is good. Thanks.
  10. I am a mother travelling with my 14-year-old son. I am looking at a hotel in North Vancouver May 25-26 which I believe to be Lonsdale Quay Hotel. If I put in 1 adult and 1 child I get a price of $67 CAD and if I put in 2 adults and 1 child I get $78 CAD. Am I correct in assuming that by putting in 3 guests, I will be assured 2 beds?
  11. Shuttle, complimentary breakfast, pool, high speed internet When I searched this using only 2 adults a 2* hotel at $48 displayed with amenities except comp breakfast - ? also La Quinta with varied amenities? Booked using HOTWIRE link
  12. It is one of the hotel offers that is grayed out that you can see the name of the hotel before booking. 2*, $73.89, comp breakfast, fitness, pool, business centre, laundry, high speed internet and golf. Best Western Brampton
  13. I bid up to $78 with no luck so I'm going with the Best Western on HOTWIRE (using the link) for $74. Thanks for all you help.
  14. Just FYI - there are two HIs in Brampton - The Holiday Inn Express Inn and Suites on Nevets Rd in Brampton does offer free breakfast. The HI Brampton Conference Centre on Peel Ave, doesn't offer free breakfast. They both have indoor pools which isn't listed as an amenity on the Hotwire listing. The Monte Carlo doesn't have a pool, so it is very possible that listing is for the Monte Carlo.
  15. Thanks for the info. I think I will try bidding again tomorrow, maybe start with $75? If I don't get it tomorrow than maybe I will go with the Best Western on HOTWIRE.
  16. Bid $63 and 68 and still no go. There is a 3* on Hotwire - comp breakfast, fitness, rest., business, golf for $73 and I'm thinking it could be the Holiday Inn?
  17. Oops, thought it would be 24 hours from first bid. Guess I'll be waiting till tomorrow morning to try again. Yes, I think I'll try $65 for the next bid.
  18. Thanks for the one-on-one instructions :) Tried again with adding the Toronto East with a bid of $58 and it wasn't accepted. I'll try again tonight.
  19. Found the one with 2* or less available - Toronto East.
  20. I'm pretty sure that there are only two 3* hotels in Brampton (and no other star levels are available) - the HI CC and the HI Express and I would take either one. I'm somewhat familiar with Brampton and I'm pretty sure there aren't any other "high end" hotels there. I did try a bid of $50 but it wasn't accepted. Don't understand the technique of bidding in another area that doesn't have that star rating, so I'll wait 24 hours and try again.
  21. I've read the above links. I understand how it basically works. I would like to go ahead and find out how I can best increase my chances of getting the HI Brampton Conference Center. I've also posted on the Priceline thread. Thanks for your help.
  22. Thanks I see that. It also is the only 3* listed for Brampton but someone else on another thread said they have the Holiday Inn Select as a 3* in Brampton. I though the Select was different than the Conference Centre. The HI Conference Centre is on Peel Rd. Anyone know if these are one and the same? There is another HI Express in Brampton, I'm wondering if that would be the HI Select? They both have pools and so probably both have same star rating? But the HI CC is in the perfect spot - directly across from a mall! How should I proceed? Would Priceline's star rating be the same for their retail listings as the name your own price?
  23. There are no Brampton hotels listed on the Priceline hotel list. I would love to get Holiday Inn Toronto-Brampton Conference Centre as it has an indoor swimming pool and is directly across the street from the Bramalea Mall. Any ideas what star rating it would be on Priceline or how I would go about having the best chances at winning it?
  24. I did scout around PRICELINE a bit but really don't understand how to go about using it - lol! I know it's probably quite simple but there are so many different hotels in a star rating is there anyway to know which one you will probably get or do you just know it will be one of them? Maybe I'll go read some more on that thread and see what I can learn. Thanks again.
