Okay, done.
Sorry for the delayed post to follow up. We went through Priceline and got this hotel for $70 a night.
Hi, sorry for the very belated follow up. Scored the Marriott San Francisco Marquis for $135 a night.
Oh snap. Sorry. Should I just respond in the links you provided above to follow up?
Hello,
Looking for one night, August 3, Philadelphia, Old City area, 4* and above, maximum $175.
Hi, looking for a 4.5* or 5* hotel for August 15 to August 20, central strip of Vegas. Looking through previous wins am hoping for something under $150 a night. Thanks!
Thank you...I am going to give it a shot. I have not been before so I think USE and USW would be alright.
So I got this for the one night that I had to add to the beginning of my trip to NY. I don't know much about the hotel and am hoping it is decent for one night.
I'm almost tempted to cancel my confirmed stay of August 1-4 and give it a try for July 31-August 4. Could just be the high of a good score on the Philly hotel from yesterday.
Quick question about 4.5 and 5*...those will give me more re-bid zones, right? But then likely to be higher priced stay?
Thanks for the advice re: confirm the re-bid zone star rating hasn't changed!
I believe the re-bid zones are #8 Long Island and #13 Morningside Heights.
Thanks Aaron! I forgot I also saved a few $ because I used the SUMMER code for PRICELINE, and yes, used your links. Now I'm heading over to my NY post to figure that out.
MAN ALIVE, I figured it out. Give me a few minutes and hopefully I'll be posting with a win. Ignore what I wrote below.
Okay so I figured it and and now I feel like a dim bulb re: my NY posts!
I bid $60 for a 4* in Convention Center-Mid Center City, rejected. Added re-bid zone which did not have a 4* and increased my bid to $65, rejected. Last step, added another re-bid zone and increased bid to $70 and ta da! I hope this is a nice hotel - The Hyatt at The Bellevue.
:)
Hi,
I read that a couple days ago and made notes as to the stars and zones. My confusion is when you said:
Select 4* MTE and MTW...
Bid $120, if rejected add re-bid zone...
Bid $125, if rejected add re-bid zone...
My questions are:
1. Do I select both MTE and MTW on my first bid of $120?
2. If I do select both MTE and MTW on my first bid of $120, and it is rejected what am I adding as my re-bid zone?
3. If my second bid of $125 is rejected what am I adding as a re-bid zone this time?
Thank you for your patience and help in explaining this to me.
Hi,
Looking for Priceline help for August 4, one night, 4 star, Rittenhouse Square or Convention Center-Mid Center City, less than $120. Please and thank you, and yes I will use the PRICELINE link in the top right corner to start my search. I just need the breakdown help/strategy for the $ to bid.
Thanks in advance.
Yes I read, and yes I'm confused.
Thank you.
Hi, so do I check the box next to both MTE and MTW in the first step and bid $120? If it gets rejected I increase my bid and add which rebid zone? Sorry for all the questions.
Any zone that says "Midtown" so I guess MTW or MTE. (I think I got MTCentral from Hotwire).
I'll start all over. July 31, for one night, 4 star or higher in Midtown/Times Square/Empire State area, $175 max. Thank you and sorry for the multiple posts.
Proceed with PRICELINE, and I clicked the link first. Name my own price with $175 being my maximum.
4-star Hotel in Midtown East, July 31 - August 4, $170.
