Gave up on using HOTWIRE, and booked the Hyatt with points.

Thanks for your reply, however, at this time we will be using marriott points for our final day; something we were trying to avoid. In the future I will follow up my request for assistance with conclusions. :)

My initial plans were to use points for the my trip, then the hotel workers went on strike, so i began my search for other options. The hotel has since assured us that our stay would be fine. Now the problem is I don't have enough points for the last night of my stay (8/14/08). I apologize for the posts with no resolution; I thought the board was a tool to assist travelers with possible options. Sometimes the dates and/or the rates do not work. I value the information given and appreciate your commitment to assist us as well. :)

Thereuare, Well I got the Intercontinetal Barclay for $155.00! I'm so happy. :) Used the second bidding strategy; realized I needed to up my maximum bid. I started with $150 and after rejected used my free bid and increased bid to 155.00. Thanks so much. BTW, I'm not sure of how to post my winning bid; please advise!

Sorry about that, I seemed to have entered the incorrect dates (typo) here on the priceline forum. My dates are 3/13 - 3/16. The hotel rates are for the correct dates. :) Thanks.
