Well, based on everything I could tell, it was the Times Square Intercontinental, and I was hoping someone else could confirm that and you did--thank you! In the end, we decided it wasn't worth it to take a chance with getting 2 rooms that don't connect or are even on different floors. I know many times the hotel will work with you on those things, but sometimes they just don't have the availability. Also, we were concerned that getting these might give us the least desirable rooms available--no view, low floors, noisy, by the elevator, etc. We are a family of 5 and we can't/won't stuff all of us into one uncomfortable room--most hotels have a 4 person/room rule anyway, which is why we were hoping to get two rooms at a reasonable price and hoped that we could at least get them adjoining. The only other option for us is a suite, which is ideal, but usually a lot pricier. We found a 20% off suite deal at the One UN and ended up with a 2 bedroom suite at a fairly reasonable price (for Manhattan anyway)--it was still $300/night more than the two rooms, HOTWIRE deeply discounted rate, but it is worth it to us to make sure that we are together as a family and not in two separate, non-adjoining rooms for our "family" vacation. Thank you for all the help. I will definitely use your site/links to Hotwire in the future when our travel conditions allow. It's a great and very helpful site!
