  1. The final price was $83, and the date is April 21. Thanks.
  2. Initial bid $78 (based on $93 3* on HOTWIRE), counter offer of $98 then rebid (adding Merritt, no 3* hotels) $83 and it was accepted. Your Offer Price Per Room, Per Night: US$83.00 Subtotal: US$83.00 Taxes & Fees: US$19.85 Total Charges: US$102.85 Forgot to use the links from the website (sorry). Make sure you do, they are near the top of page.
  3. Horrible hotel, avoid it if at all possible. Might be ok if you want to have a snooze in between flights but not good for anything else!
  4. Hey, I just got back from new york. This is an excellent hotel with an even more excellent location! I recomend it to anyone!
  5. One more thing, the hotel was listed on hotwire for 102 plus taxes = 124
  6. Hey Guys, Here's my latest purchase on priceline. The airline I was flying to New York cancelled my flight yesterday (Oct 1/06) and tried to put me on a flight 4 hours later. I would've have missed the first day of my conference so I had to beg for a different flight. They gave me a flight the day before, but would not give me a hotel room to make up for the inconvenience. So I booked a hotel on priceline hoping to get a good deal. My first bid was for a 2* at JFK for $60 (I've seen people get this before). Next I added flushing (no 2*'s) and bid $65. Then I added Long Island City and bid $70. Next I added Elmhurst and bid $75, it was accepted as the best western kennedy airport. Subtotal: $75.00 Taxes & Service Fees: $20.77 Total Charges*: $95.77 This is $25 cheaper than the best western website was offering at the time. Also, I used the savingsbarn.com link to PRICELINE.
  7. I bid over a few days and by adding a zones. I had started at $70 increasing my bid by $5 until 95. Last night when I bid 95 again (just MTS) it counteroffered for $22 more. I added MTW and bid $98. Then I bid 101 and added MTE, and it was accepted. So my bid was 101 for a 2* in MTE, MTS, and MTW. This hotel is in MTS.
  8. Here's my first win on priceline. Courtyard New York Manhattan/Fifth Avenue Number of Rooms: 1 Number of Nights: 1 Subtotal: $101.00 Taxes & Service Fees: $24.19 Total Charges*: $125.19 Thanks for all the advice!
  9. 3.5* Holiday Inn London-Kensington-Forum Kensington - Earls Court - Knightsbridge Zone Amenities listed were: Restaurants, Fitness Center, and Business Center. April 27-28 for 1 room(s) @ $78.00 per night x 1 night(s) $78.00 Hotel Taxes and fees: $21.19 Hotel Subtotal $99.19 Total Price $99.19 on hotwire. You probably all know already, but if you cross reference the packages on hotwire with the hotel list generated you can figure out ahead which hotel you are going to get. I have done this 3 times for L.A. and now for London, it's spot on everytime!
