  1. Had so many links open - not sure if I used the BetterBidding PRICELINE link or not (sorry!). First time I have bid on Priceline in years and I believe this is the first time I have won. Won on the first try though, did I overpay? Doesn't seem like it being as the cheapest public rate I found is $399 per night... Hope I posted this correctly! :)
  2. Reserved this today on Hotwire: 2.5* Hotel in Universal Orlando and Seaworld, $39 per night Pool(s) Business Center Fitness Center Laundry Facilities It's the AmeriSuites Orlando Convention Center. Trip Advisor ratings are fairly good and it's a suite so I'm happy!
  3. Hi everyone! I'm a newbie to the whole Priceline thing so maybe you guys could help me out? I am needing a room for April 12 - 16 (4 nights) in Galveston. I have been checking Hotwire almost daily and they only come up with two - three hotels: one 3.5* at/around $129 per night, a 3* at $104 per night, and a 1* at $67 per night. The 3.5* and 3* are little out of my budget and there's no way I'm paying $67 for a 1* + taxes when I already have Laquinta (around 2.5*) booked at $75.00 per night as a back-up. The Laquinta I have booked doesn't have very good ratings/reviews so I am rather leary about it. So, I would like to try Priceline to see if I can get something better. I saw that the Galvez and Tremont are what's listed under Galveston on the Priceline Hotel list. I would be fine with either of those. I know this is during a Holiday weekend (Good Friday/Easter Sunday), so I guess there could be limited availability? Anyway, I'm really just wondering where to start bidding for a 3* in the Galveston area? I don't want to spend more than around $100 per night including taxes, etc. Is this feasible? I appreciate any help you all can give! :)
  4. I am wondering if the other info. that Hotwire now gives when you click on the hotel will help identify it? For example, the one I mentioned above says it has a 3 out of 5 TripAdvisor rating, over 20 reviews, and was last reviewed in January 2006. Well, if you look at the Hotel Galvez on TripAdvisor, it has a 3 out of 5 rating, 60 reviews, and was last reviewed in January 2006....
  5. I'm kind of a newbie to this, but from the research I've done I think this is the Hotel Galvez? $128 per night for 04/12 - 04/16 Amenities: Near Beach, Restaurant(s), Pool(s), Fitness Center, Golf Nearby, Tennis Nearby, Business Center Anyone know for sure? TIA :)
