ETA: Never mind I used the Maps & Hotels link and was able to gather the info I was looking for.
Well after some research these are the prices I came up with using your Maps & Hotels link (awesome site btw).
Fri-Sat, 9th - 11th Sun - Wed,11th -14th
Hilton 249
Hotel Nikko 320 247
Mariott 249
Palomar 348 280
Westin 489 289
Prescott 359 335
JW Mariott 289
Sir Francis Drake 309 309
Mariott 354 296
Any suggestion on reasonable bids?
Last night I did multiple bids upto $180 but that was for 5 consecutive nights, not splitting.
ETA: sorry chart doesn't post well. First price is Fri-Sun, second price sun-wed.
Ok so I'm slightly confused
I went to biddinghelper.com and punched in my details and it just takes me to the priceline bidding page. Am I doing something wrong?
Thanks!
Is there a website where you can see rack rates to help determine a bid?
I read a post yesterday with a link but can't find it anymore. Some mentioned that while a $50 savings on rack rates might not seem good, as others had saved more it's all relative to the time of year, events etc.
Well I was hoping to get $150 based on previous success I've seen here. However I think you are right there about another event in town that weekend called Outside Lands Music and Arts Fesitival featuring Paul McCarthy, Red hot Chilli Peppers etc. It's on from the 9th - 11th.
Would it make sense to bid for 9-11th, and do a seperate bid for 12-14th?
Looking for some help.
Want to bid on a 4* in Union Square East Aug 9th - 14th. Is it best to wait closer to arrival or bid now?
I've used the Quick Quote button above and see prices of approximately $250-300. What is a reasonable bid for this time of year/area?
Union Square Aug 9th - Aug 14th
in Priceline Hotels - SAN FRANCISCO

Thanks Thereuare. Since we will more than likely have to change hotels, it would not matter what day it occurs as long as we stay within the Union Square area (don't want to have to trek suitcases all over the city).
