Is there a website where you can see rack rates to help determine a bid? I read a post yesterday with a link but can't find it anymore. Some mentioned that while a $50 savings on rack rates might not seem good, as others had saved more it's all relative to the time of year, events etc.

Well I was hoping to get $150 based on previous success I've seen here. However I think you are right there about another event in town that weekend called Outside Lands Music and Arts Fesitival featuring Paul McCarthy, Red hot Chilli Peppers etc. It's on from the 9th - 11th. Would it make sense to bid for 9-11th, and do a seperate bid for 12-14th?

Looking for some help. Want to bid on a 4* in Union Square East Aug 9th - 14th. Is it best to wait closer to arrival or bid now? I've used the Quick Quote button above and see prices of approximately $250-300. What is a reasonable bid for this time of year/area?
