  1. I believe I posted that trip outcome on that thread-which was that we booked the Top of the Village thru their website, as we were worried about the bed configuration and weren't certain we could be assured of it through your links. Sorry I didn't complete it there before now.
  2. Hope you don't mind my asking, but what is meant by the "repeat 22 times"? Also, did you have to close out your browser and then retry some of thesebids? If so, at what point in your bidding above did you have to close the browser (or did you have to return another day)?
  3. Ended up booking at a condo (Top of the Village) booked thru AMEX because of our specific bed request-was worried about teen girls and boys having to share beds..... which we weren't sure could be assured thru this process.
  4. Just found this and would love help to ID the following: 3.5* CP Boutique,Fitness Center, High Spd Internet and Bus Center Could this be On the Avenue?
  5. 4* TS/ Theatre District 4/9-4/15 Just saw this: Fitness Center, Restaurant,Business Center, Hi Speed Internet, SPA for these dates- could this be the Westin? I saw someone got a "win" on similar dates for $159 at the Crowne Plaza, but I don't think I see it tonight.
  6. I just won $60 bid for 3.5* CC Plaza and got the Sheraton Suites-based on a previous post, I figured I'd be getting the Marriott, but Priceline put the Sheraton Suites in as a 3.5*!
  7. condo,resort, ski-in,studio, full kitchen, free parking, daily housekeeping,in room laundry,pools, 24hour desk,laundry facility,golf nearby
  8. Found this and was wondering if you have any idea what this condo in snowmass, CO might be? Dec.20-26, 2008 for $209 3.5* condo,resort,ski-in/out,studio, full kitchen, free parking, daily housekeeping,in room laundry
  9. Was this the Hyatt Regency that is a 4* isn't it? Could you tell me what strategy was used to get this?
  10. FINALLY got a bid accepted for my travel dates. Using your strategy (with some improvising as my patience wore!) as follows: 4*UM-CPS $190 rejected added TS $195 rejected added MTE $200rejected closed browser and reopend (via BB site) 4* MTW $210rejected added UM-CPS$220 rejected added TS $225 rejected added MTE $230 rejected closed browser.. 4* MTE $210 rejected added MTW $220 rejected added MTE $230 rejected added UM-CPS $240 rejected closed browser 4* MTW $240 rejected added UM-CPS $250 rejected added MTE $255 ACCEPTED: THE BENJAMIN HOTEL!
  11. I got to $190 and had bid TS,MTW 4* Am willing to go to $250 and would prefer MTW or TS 3.5-4* am I unrealistic at that price? Any new strategy ideas before I begin again? Still wondering if Hotwire is an option, tho the offerings are getting slim.
  12. Yes, I was unable to be successful bidding on priceline-altho I didn't follow all your strategy and bid on only a few areas. I will try your strategy again tomorrow. I just went looking thru Hotwire and saw these and researched thru the various threads and wasn't able to figure them out. Any ideas? Thanks...and I will let you know whether I was successful once I go thru my bidding again (assuming these hotwire hotels don't sound like what I want, that is)!
  13. I cannot seem to identify some of the following for my dates on Hotwire: MTE 3* Fitness, Restaurant, High Speed Internet $239 (Radisson Lexington?) 3.5* Fitness, Restaurant, Business Center, High Speed Internet $209 (Doubletree or Tudor @UN?) 4* Fitness, Restaurant, Business Center, High Speed Internet, Tennis $269 (Intercontinental?) MTC 3* Fitness, Business Center, High Speed Internet, kitchenette $239 (Buckingham?) 3.5* Fitness, Restaurant, High Speed Internet $219 (Novotel or Hudson?) Many Thanks!
  15. Sorry if you thought I was impatient, but I'd been working on this since 1pm and really wanted to bid on this yesterday since I had set aside the day to do so.... I have been to NYC many times, but not my 12 year old who prefers staying above ground and walking or taking cabs as much as possible. We can certainly add UM-CPS (would be my 1st choice), but MTS is further from where we'd like to keep as our home base, if possible. Thanks again.
  16. Still awaiting strategy ideas. I saw where someone got the Benjamin around my time frame for $210 do you think that's going to be my best bet
  17. Price is my primary, location next. I didn't include UM or CPS b/c I figure they are further from most attractions and would rather not spend time on the subway and would prefer walking mostly. I think I would try up to my Max bid for a 4* but don't want to price too high for a 3* if that doesn't work out. Is this unrealistic? Thanks again!
  18. Hello again! You have been so helpful in the past, and now I am trying to determine a strategy for bidding on priceline for our upcoming stay for myself and my 12 year old 4/24-4/28. We would prefer, in order, MTW,TS, MTE, and would like (wishful thinking?) to stay below $200/night- 3,3.5 or 4 stars...am willing to go up to $250, however. Suggestions for bidding stategy? Thanks!
  19. Just won with the strategy posted previously for bidding 2.5* or better in Kansas City (country club plaza). Went thru SavingsBarn.com site. Started at $40 for 3* CC Plaza-denied and went thru all the way to Shawnee Mission for $85 and won the Marriott Kc Country Club Plaza! Website lists AAA rate at $218 and regular rate @ $229!! Sweet! THANKS for all the help previously!
  20. Thanks! I ended up getting the Embassy Suites C C Plaza for $85/night!
  21. Since I needed to be sure to get 2 Queen beds, I went another route and got a room the "old fashion way" and am paying well above what I wanted to ($270)- at the Affinia 50.
  22. Any idea what hotel this might be? 4* in Country Club Plaza Dates of stay 8/15-8/19/07 $133 amenities: Boutique Hotel Business Center Restaurants High-speed Internet Access Tennis Nearby
