  1. This was a tough one. I started bidding two weeks ago at $55 and tried this every single day. No luck. The lowest awailable was best Werstern for $129 plus 13.25% tax which would have been $146 total. This one is $110 + $27.27 tax fees = 137 only $10 cheaper than the fully cancelable BW. They also had a AAA rate of $116 which would have been cheaper than priceline. This is one of the most expensive hotel stays I ever booked on priceline. I stayed in 4* suites through priceline and paid less. When I bid $100 it offered to give it to me for $22 more. $105 was rejected though. I guess they sell enough rooms without having to give PR cheap inventory.
  2. it's now a 3* on priceline was that because of your AWESOME feedback? :)
  3. LUCKY YOU - I got this as a 3* without an upgrade. Imagine how thrilled I was, when a 3* IAD comes back as this Holiday Inn
  4. :) This was a nasty surprise. In the past Holiday Inn Dulles was rated 2* by priceline, and I know of people who got it at that rate. It appears that now it's a 3* on Priceline which complomises the whole zone for me now. The hotel is nothing to write home about, not a dump but definitely not as nice as the Hyatts int he area. I have seen posts for the same day and the same bid where people got Hyatt Dulles, so I was pretty sure that it's what I will be getting - onece again goes to prove that Priceline is never a sure thing. I think that the inventory int he other places was already exhausted when i was bidding (6 pm on the day of the arrival) and they gave me the Holiday Inn. Bidding on IAD will never be the same again :)
  5. Hyatt Dulles is definitely a 3* on Priceline - got it before
  6. One night (Friday). Lowest on their web page $129 Got this ont he first bid (based on other experiences), may be available for lower. Nice thing about Omni is that they will count your priceline stays toward your status and perks. I do not know of any other hotel chain that will use priceline stays for staus.
  7. You get 2 queen bed by default - that's what priceline automatically requests. I am SPG Gold. I called the hotel directly and they put the number int he reservation. Did not get me any points or anything. this hotel has extremely limited uprade opportunities. I hear even Platinums do not get consistent upgrades. The rooms are pretty smal, but standard Westin style
  8. One night bid on the day of the arrival, $72 ($89.74 with tax and fee) Great deal for the Westin in Arlington, does not seem to go any lower that this. I think I saw a $68 posted somewhere, but not sure.
  9. I gor the same property on priceline for May 22 for $72 This would be the only 4* in that area, so the Westin is 90% certain Great Deal
  10. This seeme to be the lowest rate for the downtown Omni. One night stay. Defuinitely sign up for the select guest program.
  11. It seems that priceline is consistently giving for 3* Bethsda, MD request -- Bethesda Hyatt. Really nice place.
  12. Bethesda-Silver Spring 3* on Hotwire listing between $61 and $66 turned out to be Crowne Plaza in Silver Spring. Nothing to write home about, just an average 3*.
