  1. WIN Update: After considering PRICELINE EXPRESS deals, I was able to find what I was somewhat looking for through them. Dates: 12/02 - 12/05 4.5 Express Deal Hotel Times Square - Theater District Area Very Good 8+/10 Rating $354/night Hotel Amenities: Pets Allowed Business Center Restaurant Fitness Center No Smoking Rooms/Facilities Choose Bed: Superior Room 2 Double Beds - Superior Room 1 King Bed 1 King Bed - Corner Room 1 King Bed - Studio And the winner was: Intercontinental New York Times Square ...okay, I'll be completely honest in that the absolute deciding factor was the Shake Shack is literally feet away right next door. (It could be listed as an official amenity, as far as I'm concerned lol) Not one to make things easy on myself, I believe I mistakenly misbooked and didn't specify the option for 2 double beds, as the receipts state I have booked "Superior Room". Do I have any recourse to get that changed? Or is that literally the bed I've made, and now I have to lie in it?
  2. I apologize, I forgot to clarify that it's for 1 room/3 adults, which may change your results. $350/night would be right in the sweet spot as far as budget, but I realize this is the busy season so I'm really just trying to see the options available.

  5. Based on the prices for accommodations available through Hotwire, the budget is around that $250 zone. Their rental back-up is $100/night...once again in an out-of-the-way kind of area.
  6. I was looking up 1room/3adults rates for them. I believe they said they had an apartment rental but in an outer borough, nowhere near the sights they had on their itinerary. And those listings in those areas popped up as the best price/quality for their budget - I'm sure they'll be open to any centrally located suggestions as far as it fits their budget.
  7. Scouting out deals for friends (on BiddingHelper.com) trying to get a better deal than what they've already booked and based on location, budget and dates (06/25 - 06/27) and came up with a list of three potential candidates: 1.) Grand Central area hotel - $246 - 4 Star Hotwire rating, 60% Recommended, 3.5/5 TripAdvisor Score FULL AMENITIES: Boutique hotel, Fitness center, Restaurant(s), Business center, Internet access, Accessible for visually impaired, Accessible for hearing impaired, Accessible path of travel, In-room accessibility, Accessible bathroom, Roll-in shower 2.) Midtown East area new to Hotwire hotel - $262 - 4 Star Hotwire rating, 90% Recommended, 4/5 TripAdvisor Score FULL AMENITIES: Free Internet, Fitness center, Restaurant(s), Business center, Internet access, Tennis nearby, Spa services 3.) Midtown East area hotel - $211 - 3 Star Hotwire rating, ?? Recommended, ?? TripAdvisor Score FULL AMENITIES: Free Internet, Internet access NOTE: Offering option for 1 Queen bed and 1 Japanese Futon Based on the Hotel Lists, I've come up with the possible matches and am looking for any thoughts/input from the Better Bidding experts: 1.) The Iroquois or Mansfield?? (This one is stumping me) 2.) The Westin Grand Central? 3.) Midtown East Vacation Rentals?? (The lack of information on this one is a bit disconcerting)
  8. Amenities: Free parking, Indoor pools, fitness center, pools, restaurants, business center, internet access, golf nearby, accessible for visually impaired. 80% Recommended TripAdvisor: 4/5
  9. Yep, those are indeed the same amenities that came up with my search. Went to book tonight, found that the price had gone down for what seemed to be the same property (based off the description of the amenities). I went ahead and booked! To summarize: Midtown East area hotel Hotwire rating of: 4 stars Tripadvisor rating of: 3.5/4 5/24-5/27: 3 nights, 3 adults Price as of booking: $176/night All amenities: Fitness Center Restaurant(s) Business Center High-Speed Internet Access Accessible for the blind Accessible for the deaf Accessible path of travel In-room accessibility Accessible bathroom And the hotel was indeed The Roosevelt! Thank you guys for the help and for the wealth of information you got here. Is there anything else I should do/add to report my winning bid? Hopefully The Roosevelt lives up to the reviews. And is there anything else you guys suggest to do prior to check-in? Many thanks again!
  10. Nope, there's nothing additional listed. Those are all amenities listed when 'See all' is clicked. General amenities include icons for: Fitness Center Restaurant(s) Business Center High-Speed Internet Access ...and text descriptions for: Fitness Center Restaurant(s) Business Center And thank you for the clarification with the beds. It's what I had assumed and it will be perfect! EDIT: I totally forgot to include the price in the original post! It is being advertised for $192 per night.
  11. First time visitor. Love what you got going on here. I'm attempting to book (through Hotwire) a hotel for Memorial Day weekend (5/24-5/27) - 3 nights, 3 adults. One listing caught my eye and I'll need a little bit of help from you nice BetterBidding veterans identifying the hotel. Midtown East area hotel Hotwire rating of: 4 stars Tripadvisor rating of: 3.5/4 All amenities: Fitness Center Restaurant(s) Business Center High-Speed Internet Access Accessible for the blind Braille or raised signage Accessible for the deaf TTY for telephone, visual or flashing fire alarm and vibrating alarm clock Accessible path of travel In-room accessibility Accessible bathroom Based on my basic skills: I've guesstimated it's either the Roosevelt or perhaps even the Omni Berkshire. I'm curious to see what you all think it is. Thanks in advance! PS: 3 adults. Hotwire guarantees bedding accomodations for 3 guests, correct?
