  1. Hi, I first bid $65 for 3* downtown Philly, and lost (thankfully). Most of the hotels downtown philly charge between 28 & 40 dollars additonal parking....which is absurd (but thats any city for you)....I decided to bid the Mt Laurel, Cherry hill area, thinking we would get the Crowne. But we got the Wyndham.

My first bid was for $65.00 and I won (probably could've gotten it a bit cheaper) the Wyndham. Cheapest rate I could find on the web(non refundable) was 107.50 + tax per night. SO the savings was significant.

The hotel is easy on easy off the New Jersey Turnpike. The property is definitely older, but our room was clean and the bed (king size) was very comfortable. The staff was also friendly. The airconditioner in our first room wasn't working very well, so we asked to be moved (they also comp'ed us the breakfest buffet for both nights, typically 12.95 per person per day (so 48+ value),as a courtesy) which was rather delicious. Fresh fruit, cereal, waffles, and omelettes are made, along with bacon, potatoes, and sausage. They also provide free wi-fi.

It was also an easy drive to downtown philly (between 15 and 20 minutes depending on traffic). We always found metered parking without much difficulty (and actually found a broken meter on saturday...we left our car there all day for free).

Total cost for the hotel for both days was

153 bucks (inculding taxes and fees)

    Hope this helps someone.

  2. I was trying to get the StayBridge (which is the only 2.5* currently listed on the hotel list in this area), but wound up with the

    Marriot Residence Inn.

    2662 Route 130

    Cranbury, New Jersey 08512 USA

Every room is a full suite w/ stocked kitchen and free breakfest...I was disappointed though as there are no King size beds on the premises. Otherwise the room was very clean, and the bed comfortable! Also the hotel is conviently close to the NJ turnpike.

I bid three times (using free rebids) 35, 45, and finally won at 52...total was 67 w/taxes and fees (weekend rate is posted at 99.00 + tax).

  3. First bid 48 than 55 than 60 than 65 and got the Doubletree inn downtown boston for 2/22/07 -2/23/07. Doubletree Inn was very nice, comfortable bed, clean, cookies, and friendly staff (parking sucks $36)

I just parked on the street and got a $25.00 ticket which I promptly threw away...

We then decided we wanted to stay until Sunday (2/25/07) rebid at $65 for 2/23 - 2/25 and got the Holiday Inn Government center =(. Horrible Horrible HOTEL. Right outside a fire department, and hospital... VERY LOUD. Parking is also $36.00. Beds are uncomfortable, and the hotel is under construction (drilling/hammering can be heard throughout the entire building from 8am in the morning - 8pm at night...you WILL WAKE UP) also they house local college kids so there was very loud music playing all hours of the night... water shuts off periodically all day and when it is working is cold! Check in is was also late...4p.m

I ended up raising a storm w/ the hotel and priceline (by the way priceline customer service SUCKS!! They sure save you money on hotels, but pray to god you never have to deal with their CS) after much to do I finally got the hotel and priceline to agree to a complete refund. Pricelines inital suggestion to me was to check out of the hotel (at 8p.m) and than go pay rack rate somewhere else in the city ($250.00 - $350.00). The bottom line is be wary if bidding for a 3* in downtown Boston! You could get screwed big time!

  4. Doubletree Club Las Vegas Airport (airport zone)

    Las Vegas Airport (LAS)

    7250 Pollock Drive

    Las Vegas, Nevada 89119

    702-948-4000

Sorry about that. Priceline makes a pretty good profit, normal tax's at the 100 dollar rate would have been 7 dollars. On top of that they actually paid my hotel 64 dollars instead of the 65 dollars I paid. (I called to confirm the rez, and this is what the rep who answered told me)

BTW thereuare you are amazing, almost machine like. You reply quickly, promptly, and on point to almost everything posted to these forms. I take my hat off to you Sir.

  5. Well guys I'm not sure if i got a good deal or not....... but I bid several times and this is what I got....

Double Tree Las vegas airport, 65.00 bid went through. With tax's and fees final price is 79.00. I had the convention center, strip, and airport locations checked off w/min star of 2 1/2. My 45 dollar bid, 50, and 55 dollar bids were rejected. Let me know if I did good or not. Thanks guys. This will be my first trip to Las Vegas, I hope I do well.......
