  1. I would like to bid on Fiesta Americana Grand Coral Beach Cancun Resort & Spa, but I'm not familiar with the hotels in this area. Does anyone know how I could get a decent price on this hotel without accidentally getting a different hotel? Also, I was wondering if anyone knows if it's better to book a package (flight + hotel) or separately. I'm flying from Vancouver, and it seems that most flights from Vancouver to Cancun have one overnight layover. I would rather have 2 layovers but arrive on the same day.. those flights seem to be a bit more expensive though. Any other hotel recommendations are welcome :) Thanks!
  2. This is a little late but in case anyone's curious, we ended up booking Mirage through Mirage's website. It was pretty cheap (~60/night) :)
  3. Thanks for the suggestions. I'm currently looking at a 5* hotel in north strip in priceline's express deal. Could you help me identify it? June 16-18 5* Las Vegas Strip North Indoor or Outdoor Pool Restaurant Business Center Casino Rated 8.0 or higher $109/night (save 20% or more) "Guest favourite" Also another one: June 18-21 5* Las Vegas Strip North Indoor or Outdoor Pool Free Parking Restaurant Business Center Casino Fitness Center Rated 8.0 or higher $118/night (save 20% or more) includes free parking "Guest favourite" My guess is the first one is Wynn, and the second is Venetian?
  4. Nope no luck :( Tried $55 to start last night, went up to $68 and was still rejected. (Note: I searched for June 18-21 as I would like to stay at 2 different hotels) I don't mind paying $70-$90 for Cosmoplitan or Aria (or any of the 5 star hotels in the north strip of course, cuz that would be a really good deal..), but I'm afraid I might get Vdara if I bid higher, which I don't think is worth it. I'm thinking of trying again after 24 hours, but I don't know if it'll be any different. Do you think my chances of getting Vdara are high? That's really the only thing stopping me from bidding higher.. Also, would it hurt my chances that I bid at 1am PST? I mean.. who works at that time? :S
  5. Yes, I was wondering what my starting bid should be?
  6. Thanks for the quick reply! I would prefer Cosmopolitan, but I'm good with any of the 5 star hotel in the north & south strip (except Trump). I'm just mainly looking for a good price.. I've stayed at Vdara & Aria before for around $70-90 (before taxes & resort fees). Mostly I'm interested in how the other members got such a great deal on Cosmopolitan (or any of those 5 star hotels)! Is it possible for me to get under $70 (or somewhere around there) for those dates? From my experience, June seems to be a pretty cheap time to go to Vegas.. am I right?
  7. I'm looking into getting a 5 star hotel for June 16 to June 21 (Sunday to Friday) through Priceline's bidding system. Preferably I would like to stay at the Cosmopolitan. Since this is my first time using Priceline, I'm wondering what my starting bid should be for a 5 star hotel in the strip south area for those dates? I saw several members on this forum who got Cosmopolitan for really good prices, even as cheap as $49! Of course the dates are different but I would still like to get a good price if possible :) Does anyone know what would be a good number to start the bid, and what I should expect to pay? Thanks!
