  1. Thanks for checking! We have a car so don't need to be withing walking distance. We just had a girlfriend who got a room at Bally's and offered us to stay with her, so we're going to do that. But thanks again, and I'll be sure to use the HOTWIRE and PRICELINE links from betterbidding for future searches and purchases!
  2. Also, please disregard the above new ID. It's no longer available. Thanks anyways!
  3. Nevermind on the above ID's...they're no longer available on Hotwire. :-( Have to act faster, Vegas hotels change so quickly, I guess... Used the HOTWIRE link and found this other one for 7/29-7/31, $57/night 3* Near Strip West Pool(s) Laundry Facilities (self-service) Recommended by 95% of customer reviews. Am traveling with just one friend this time around, so any *clean* (as reviewed on TripAdvisor) 3* (or above) Vegas hotel near the strip will do... TIA!
  4. Didn't realize that was required- it's now done- thanks!
  5. Ended up staying at Hyatt Summerfield Suites because we had 3 kids with us and needed a one-bedroom suite confirmed. Thanks.
  6. Is this the one on Polaris Ave or Palos Verdes? Thanks!
  7. Do you remember the percentage of recommended customer reviews for this hotel? The amenities look similar to one that I'm trying to ID, with the exception of Airport Shuttle. Mine was recommended by 95% of customer reviews. Thanks!
  8. For travel 7/29 - 7/31, $66/night Near Strip East area hotel Amenities: Pool(s) Business Center High-Speed Internet Access Recommended by 95% of customer reviews. Also, looking to ID this one (7/29-7/31, $59/night): 3-star Hotel in Near Strip West Amenities: Airport Shuttle Complimentary Breakfast Fitness Center Pool(s) Business Center Laundry Facilities (self-service) High-Speed Internet Access Recommended by 95% of customer reviews. Would appreciate any help with ID'ing these! Thanks!!
  9. Thanks so much! Not sure if we want the Hyatt Place, but will definitely use the HOTWIRE link from this website if we do go with it. Thanks again!
  10. Arriving on 7/7 and staying one night, departing 7/8. For the 3.5* hotel, the rate has dropped from $85 yesterday to $74 today (but it's recommended by only 85% customer reviews). For the 3* hotel, the rate is steady at $77 (but is recommended by 95% customer reviews). We are leaning towards the 3* at $77, but we prefer newer hotels so would love any help ID'ing the two hotels. Thanks so much!! Love this forum!
  11. Used the HOTWIRE link from this forum to search hotels in Denver. Need help ID 3* Den Airport Hotel ($77) Amenities: Airport Shuttle Smoke Free Rooms Complimentary Breakfast Fitness Center Pool(s) Business Center High-Speed Internet Access Recommended by 95% of customer reviews. Need to book ASAP and looking at this one over a 3.5* one (just posted on another thread) that was recommended by only 85% customer reviews. Any help to ID is greatly appreciated!!!

  13. Initial bid $80 for 6/18/11, 1 night stay. Used free zones and bidded 3 more times, going up about $10 each time (sorry, don't remember exact amounts I used when increasing bids) Finally won it at $112. Room Cost (avg. per room, per night): $112.00 (USD) Number of Rooms: 1 Number of Nights: 1 Room Subtotal: $112.00 (USD) Taxes and Fees: $24.23 (USD) Total Room Cost: $136.23 (USD) Additional cost at hotel was parking fee of $32/night. Was initially disappointed with this win because of TripAdvisor.com reviews- but we stayed this past Saturday and it turned out to be a great stay- awesome location!
  14. Won after first bid. Room Cost (avg. per room, per night): $60.00 (USD) Number of Rooms: 1 Number of Nights: 2 Room Subtotal: $120.00 (USD) Taxes and Fees: $25.50 (USD) Total Room Cost: $145.50 (USD) Wanted to win the Hyatt Grand Champions, but have stayed at Westin Mission Hills previously and it's not a bad second choice. Didn't think $60 would do it, so happily surprised.
  15. in my experiences with priceline and palm springs, "resorts" in rancho mirage/indian wells/palm desert area has always been 4* resorts. these are the ones i've gotten there under "resorts"- renaissance esmeralda, lodge at rancho mirage, hyatt grand champions, and westin mission hills. this is totally a guess...but i'm wondering if the hotwire one is the desi arnaz one in indian wells? not sure though. by the way, where are you looking for the "hotel list"? i can't seem to find them.
  16. sorry, it's listed as a resort prop. i kinda combined 4* and resort in my head for the rancho mirage/indian wells/palm desert area, since priceline doesn't have 4-star hotels available for it (they used to, but then combined them some time ago).
  17. 4* USE at $51 failed, add CH zone and rebid at $61 failed, add CC zone and rebid $66 failed, add SSF zone and rebid $71 failed, changed date and rebid at $76 failed. :) Will have to try again after 72 hours. Let me know if any of you get any successful bids! Also, is there an actual database at this website to look at hotels and bid histories? I'd like to book a night in Sonoma or Napa and wanted to check the "database" on this website but can't seem to find it?! :)
  18. How did you get the Hyatt Regency at the Embarcadero if you didn't add that "area" to your bids? Is it considered USE? Oops, nevermind, I just checked and it IS USE. Thanks!
  19. Thanks to the tips I read on this website this am, I finally got my bid accepted! 4*Resort in Palm Springs, Indian Wells, $125, 2/17-2/20/06 First bid $85 rejected, changed dates for second bid $95 but rejected, changed dates for third bid $115 but rejected. After reading the tips from this website, I retried this am (using different account of a fellow traveler) for fourth bid $115 but rejected and given option to increase bid by $22 to win bid, changed location for fifth bid $120 but rejected, changed location for sixth bid $125 and accepted! Will be using Savingsbarn.com for future priceline bids!
