  1. Just wanted to alert users that the Riverside Hotel now has the same amenities as the Renaissance --- 3 1/2* Smoke Free Rooms Pool(s) Restaurant(s) Business Center Laundry Facilities High-speed Internet Access (They took away the near beach icon) $102+tax = $230.86 for two nights 4/8-4/10 2010
  2. Yes, I tried at $40, waited 3 days, tried at $45, waited another 3 days and got it at $50 yesterday morning just before I posted.
  3. Tried a couple times for this very nice property. I think it's still the only 2 star in Plymouth Meeting. Web Site rate $169/rm. Your Offer Price: $50.00 Number of Rooms: 2 Number of Nights: 1 Subtotal: $100.00 Taxes & Service Fees: $17.10 Total Charges: $117.10
  4. Sorry - Didn't mean to confuse anyone. For some reason I wasn't able to find the exact trip dates for the Summerfield Suites on the "My Trips" feature on Priceline. I know we paid the same rate as at Springhill Suites though. Next time I'll post immediately after a win so I won't have to dig up old receipts. :)
  5. That's good to know. She's finally got an apartment in Conshohocken, but I'll remember this tip for when we visit. Thanks.
  6. Sorry, but I disagree. I think my posting and the postings of others under the "Questions and Suggestions" topic are completely appropriate. My "suggestion" to BB is to maintain the friendly, helpful, non-threatening, atmosphere. For those who have never visited the other bidding message board, then my further "suggestion" is to not bother. Since I do bid on Priceline quite often, I am interested in everyone's successful and unsuccessful bids. I would be happy to let the other board's moderators know exactly why I will no longer frequent their site, but I can guarantee that my posting wouldn't last as long as it has taken to write. Just for fun, try to post a complimentary message about BetterBidding over there and see how long it lasts. So futile or not, I'm in agreement with the other posters, and look forward to happier bidding on this board :)
  7. Only bid this high because we couldn't get the regular $45 rate at Plymouth Meeting 2*. It was one of those "add $13 for a better bid messages that I usually ignore, but it was getting late and we were getting desperate. Oh well, nothing's too good for daughter! :) . Again, right off the exit on the Schuylkill, walked to the train station. Your Offer Price: $58.00 Number of Rooms: 1 Number of Nights: 4 Subtotal: $232.00 Taxes & Service Fees: $30.85 Total Charges: $262.85
  8. Your Offer Price: $45.00 Number of Rooms: 1 Number of Nights: 6 Subtotal: $270.00 Taxes & Service Fees: $34.23 Total Charges: $304.23 While daughter was relocating we booked her through Priceline every week for 6 weeks. 4 weeks at Springhill Suites (great indoor pool and free internet access) One week in the Summerfield Suites nearby (for the same price, but no free internet). The other week was at the Marriott in Conshohocken - I'll post that bid separately.
  9. Just wanted to add my two cents.. TOBB has some of the rudest moderators I have ever encountered on a supposed "help site". I have been to that web site for a year, used their links several times, and learned some valuable information from the nice people who took their time to help others. I never asked for bidding assistance because I saw what happened to the poor souls who forgot to read the FAQs, research other web site prices and, heaven forbid, forgot to properly complete the bidding help request form. However, the last straw for me was when one moderator told a poster that it would be better not to post, even if he had a legitimate winning bid to share, because he didn't follow the moderator's strategy to the letter! That's it. I'm back to BetterBidding alone for Priceline help. Making travel plans is supposed to be fun. If I wanted abuse, I'd go back to teaching!! :)
  10. Bid this hotel back in September for a one night stay in July '04 prior to early flight. First bid got it. $44 + $12.55 taxes and service fees $56.55 total.
  11. Bid this hotel back in October for a 4th of July '04 weekend. Started at $70 and added free bids until $115 + $23.96 tax and fees (total $138) accepted for one night stay at Seattle Sheraton Hotel and Tower, Sixth and Pike Sts. Not a great rate, but better than their web site (around $179 + tax). Perfect location and it has lots of great reviews, so I'm happy. :)
  12. Bid Nov. 30th for 2 nights pre-cruise in March. $90 + $10.23 tax/night + $5.95 processing. Total $206.41 This was a first bid for Fort Lauderdale Beach. I got Embassy Suites last year for $55, but the 3*s Fort Lauderdale just didn't seem to be available this year. Paid more and won't have the shuttle or free breakfast, but I've seen only good reviews of the Harbor Beach, so I'm happy with the bid. :)
