Been trying for months in USE and USW ranging from $120-$185 and finally hit at $190. This time I started bidding at $140 and went up in $10 increments by adding re-bid zones. I had the Parc55 booked for $734 for 3 nights as a back-up and got this hotel for $644 for 3 nights (with 5% summer coupon code.) Not too thrilled about the hotel but it seems like the location is nice and I guess I did save $90 over 3 nights. Used better bidding.com link to PRICELINE. Thanks!

Thanks for the help. Sorry I wasn't more specific. I am trying for both East & West Union Square in only 4* hotels. Yes, we would like to stay in Union Square only. I'll keep trying and using your PRICELINE link. I'll update if I get something. Thanks again!

Been trying for Union Square (dates 7/18-7/21) for a couple weeks now almost daily. I started in the low hundreds and nothing hits, so I add a little more each time. Tonight I started at about $125 and went up to $139 by adding other zones. Nothing has hit yet. I booked a hotel I can cancel and trip isn't for a few months so I'm not in a huge hurry, but continuing to retry daily with the same numbers isn't harming my chances at all, is it? If it isn't hitting now under $140, does that mean it never will? I'm willing to go higher, just not in a rush, wanted to see if I could get a low price.
