Made a direct booking with a central hotel as insufficient choice with HOTWIRE in the area.
Hi
I previously posted in the Priceline forum but as we're now 3 adults I'm now having to consider Hotwire.
Our dates are now 09/12 - 09/17 5 nights and have seen the following which I'd like help identifying. Many thanks.
4* Times Square Theater District
$1620 total
3 Adults, 1 room
Pet friendly
Fitness Center
Restaurant(s)
Business Center
Kitchenette Accommodations
Roll-in shower
OK, probably $200 a night max including taxes so maybe we should go for a 3 or 3.5*. Breakfast included would be great which usually only comes with lower star ratings and presumably never included with Priceline. We're happy to do a lot of walking but need room to walk around two open cases. I think this is fine for the bedroom but would the bathroom be included in this?! We like buzzy areas.
Hi
I'd really like advice on bidding for five nights, preferably 3* and any central Manhattan zones. Quite flexible as I've never been to NY before! Hotwire's prices are showing $200 upwards for 2*. Am I likely to significantly better this with Priceline?
Many thanks.
The HOTWIRE price seems very high if it is for either of these two hotels, neither of which I would go for.
Thanks. This technique sounds great so I'll try it in future. I'll let you know if I book another Hotwire named deal.
I have done this. Thanks.
I was going to take a gamble with this but have now seen that the Crowne Plaza Stabiae Sorrento Coast is the only listed hotel for Sorrento. Is this likely to be the allocated hotel as I definitely don't want to be this far out from Sorrento (feel it's a bit of a con really to have their only secret hotel at the tip of their Sorrento area map! Hotwire give it a 4.5* rating, but what does that mean as hotels don't use half ratings so presume it's just Hotwire's interpretation. Amenities are
Fitness Center
Pool(s)
Restaurant(s)
Business Center
High-Speed Internet Access
Free Parking
Free Breakfast
This is a year ago now but it still helps others. We didn't want the Barcelo Renacimiento so we booked direct with the Melia Sevilla. I'm pleased we didn't book the BR after seeing where it was located.
How quickly would I have to add an additional night? I won't know if I need it until the day before so would this be an option.
Agreed, but I presumed (possibly incorrectly) that mbstone had already rejected the offer for extension because of the higher price or was looking for a better deal using different criteria, even if it meant moving. Good point for those that might not use PL on a consistent basis!
Hi
I'm urgently trying to identify the Hotwire 5* Seville, Spain hotel.
My dates are 1-4 September 2011 (3 nts). $71 per night (0.5 - 3.5 mi from city center). They give no amenities. The Tripadvisor rating is 4/5. There are no named 5* hotels listed in the identifiable hotels. Has anyone booked this?? I'm wondering if it could be the Barcelo Renacimiento which is a long way from the centre.
I have contacted Hotwire who say they are in the process of updating their international hotel amenities.

Very late reply, sorry. Decided not to go.

Thanks Yellowdog. Found a good price for Royal Palm Miami Beach to get the guaranteed pool and gym.
What would be your desired budget per night? Additionally, there's no way to guarantee a particular amenity - if you need a particular amenity, a better bet is to use HOTWIRE and look for a listing with a pool & fitness icon.Thank you for using the site's HOTWIRE or PRICELINE links to start your purchases and searches.
Hopefully around $150/night. Hotwire prices look high so want to try Priceline. Will have to take a chance on the pool/gym.
Would like help on what to bid for any of the three South Beach zones for the above dates.
Also what star level would be likely to have a pool and gym?
Would like suggestions on what to bid for any central London area 3* hotel for three nights please. Budget around $100/night.
Hi
I'm just starting my search for Orlando. I'm going to need two rooms - one double and one for four adults. HOTWIRE's giving me some choices for 4 people in a room but the problem is how can I try and get two rooms at the same hotel!? If I take a gamble with PRICELINE and hope they will let four in a room I'll still have the problem of getting both rooms in the same hotel.
I'm looking for a large 4-4.5* hotel/condo resort.
Also are any of the areas more suitable for larger parties? We're all adults and want good non-child facilities.
Going to bid Waikiki beach area 6/5-6/13
in Priceline Hotels - Hawaii

I'm looking at bidding for the same, dates 7/18/17 - 28/7/17 (10 nights). Will I need to start even higher for July?
Any advice on whether Priceline (name your own price or Express) or Hotwire is preferable for Waikiki? Whoops I've just realised I can't secure a room for 3 through Priceline. Guess that means I have to stick to Hotwire.
Many thanks.
