  1. Hello, I am going to Savannah for a conference in a few weeks. We thought we might all try priceline to see if we could get a nicer hotel for a good price. We are interested in Savannah GA historic district 5/3-5/5. We would like to spend less than $100. Is this a reality? Please help us with a strategy. Thanks Fokus17
  2. I followed the strategy you layed out and when i got to crabtree at the $40 bid I got a counter offer for $12 more. I just added the second rebid zone and bid $45. It was accepted for the Holiday Inn Crabtree Valley. It does not have that great of reviews, but it is just for the night before we catch our plane at 6am. I used the links here and thanks for your help.
  3. All zones are fine except Durham and Chapell Hill.
  4. ok i would like to try priceline now for this same date. Looking for a 3* max bid would be $70. Any of the zones in the area would be fine. Please give me a strategy. I think i have two rebid zones. thanks for your help in advance
  5. Well I have been trying priceline for weeks. Still nothing. Today as i went to bid i noticed that the prices for all of the zones had jumped about $50. I dont think I have any chance so i am probably going to give up. On a better note. I got a deal through travelzoo for the Shelburne Murray Hill. It is basically the same as Beekman, but I think it might be a little nicer. I cancelled Beekman and went with Shelburne. Hopefully this was a good choice. So i guess i am ending this thread unless anyone has some more info. Thanks for everything
  6. I am still trying on my NY trip and have given all updated information. However, i need a place in RDU for the night before we leave for NY. I need help identifying a 3* in RTP ammenities include Airport Shuttle, Comp breakfast, fitness center, High Speed internet, and Laundry facilities. Date is 6/19-6/20 price is $61
  7. Well I have been bidding for the past few weeks all the way to $210. Should I give up or keep trying? I am fine with the Beekman, but really would like a 4* since I am proposing to my girlfriend. Any suggestions?
  8. Did you mean Hudson? or Hudon? I cannot find any information on the Hudon
  9. Ok i have had no luck with my priceline biddding so i will give hotwire a try. I looked for my dates and this is what I am interested in. 3* Midtown Central Ammenities include Restaurant, Fitness center, and Business center. Price is $191
  10. I booked the Beekman through EasyClickTravel. When do you think I should try and bid again? Do you think i sould stick with the Beekan before i switched to 3 star?
  11. Do you know of a back up reservation I could make that I could cancell?
  12. All rejected again. Where should I go from here? Should I consider 3*?
  13. I just bid the above strategy and was rejected. Where should I go next?
  14. I am ready to try if you do not think it is too early
  15. First of all thanks for all of your help in the past. I am now planning a one night stay in the city in June. 2 people, looking for a 4* MTW, MTE, or UMCP zones. Willing to bid up to $200. Is this a possibility? Dates are 6/20-6/21. Please help.
  16. Thanks for your help. I am going to wait and make a decision as it gets closer to my dates
  17. It has been several days since I last poseted. Does anyone have any help for me? Please let me know
  18. I followed up on my other thread Thanks
  19. We decided to book through a hotel directly. Thanks for your help
  20. I will be in a wedding in Atlanta on August 5th. Im looking for hotel options and i need some help with identification. My dates are check in on the 3rd and chek out on the 6th. 4* Marietta restaurant, pool, fitness center, high speed internet, golf nearby, tennis nearby, business center $58 a night or 3.5* Marietta Suite, restaurant, pool, fitness center, business center, laundry $53 a night Thanks
  21. OK one more question. Would it be possible to try for two rooms and purchase the insurance for $5 a night. Try to get two beds in one room and if granted cancle one of the rooms because we purchased the insurance. This way we could bid higher and only be out the money for the insurance. Sorry if this sounds confusing. I know i am trying to work the system, but im just trying to get the best deal. Please let me know
  22. I'm sorry if i am not using the board properly. Is the Paramount in the MW or ME zone?
  23. ok here i go again. I tried everything up to the $130 price and all rejected so i will wait the 72 hours. Here is my next question. What 3* besides the Paramount have been accepted latley. I know if i choose 3* i risk the chance of getting it but what other hotels fall into that range?
  24. my fear is that the rooms are way to small. Is there any way i could find out the square footage of the rooms? I also saw a picture of one of the bathrooms at the Paramount and it was so small it only had a shower that was only defined by a curtain and it was so small the toilet was at anangle in the corner. Many of the tripadvisor reviews said it sould not be considered an upscale hotel and found it to be really bad. It just worris me.
