  1. Previously had booked a compact with Alamo totaling $128. Checked website on National for standard same dates, $145. My total same car with Priceline, $93.
  2. Booked this same car myself earlier totaling $199. Got it on PL for $167 total.
  3. I too did not want to risk the Hilton Waikoloa and was pleased with the $177 rate, however the rate you got is great! I simply don't think enough folks know about this board yet.
  4. I see it! Probably wasn't paying close enough attention. I really like your boards and wish more folks would start using them - for instance, I am really curious about that 4.5 star on the Kohala Coast. But really wanted the Hapuna, so it doesn't matter anymore, to me anyhow. One thing I like about Hotwire, although it tends to be a bit more expensive, in my experience, the rooms are of better quality and I like not having to wait 72 hours to rebid. Yes, there are ways around it on Priceline but it's getting harder all the time. The amenities help if you can match them up on the Hotwire vacations, too. Anyhow, keep up the good work - hope your board catches on. I know the moderator on TOBB puts some people off. I don't mind her too much but I would love to just get the information I need to make educated bids.
  5. Yes, those are the amenities listed. I'm very pleased with it at $177/night. Total cost two nights, with taxes/fees is $403.95
  6. Yes, those are the correct amenities. But I do not recall seeing that hotel listed in your BIG ISLAND hotel list.
  7. Watching hotwire for some time and figured out that it was likely the 5* on Kohala Coast was Hapuna Prince. Ranged over a period of days between $174-$207. I finally bit at $177, and yes it was the Hapuna Prince. That is the most awesome beach and it is where we wanted to be. Priceline has the prince coming in sometimes at $140, but they also have the Hilton Waikoloa in that zone which we did NOT want to get. Too Disney-like for us (we have seen it on a past visit and it did not appeal to us). So for an extra $30/night I got what I thought was a "for sure" thing, or close enough for comfort. Unfortunately, the recent post about the 4.5* on the Kohala Coast did not get any responses and I would have liked to have known what that might be. But my suspicion was it might be the Marriott at A-Bay and we wanted to be at Hapuna. We are very happy with that deal, although disappointed with our $88/night pre-airport stay at the King Kamehameha in Kona. It's only for the night and we plan to sightsee our last day and spend very little time in the room anyhow. Might make it easier to leave paradise! Good job on these boards, but they need to be updated, and more folks should use them!!! Come on everyone, where are you?
  8. Disappointed to get the King Kamehameha for our one night in Kona. Thought we'd get the Royal Kona Resort which was listed on your Big Island hotel list. Then, reading reviews on the web at various travel sites, see that neither is any better than the other. Very pleased to get the Hapuna Prince for $177/night for our other two nights on this island however, based on your list. This is a great site, just not getting used much unfortunately.
