  1. Just a couple questions. Does the accepted price fluctuate hourly / daily? I ask because now I noticed that the PRICELINE EXPRESS deal for 4* hotel is $11 more than when I posted. Would it be better to bid when I see that the price has returned to $129?
  2. Max bid would be $110 for a 4* Hotel I would not mind staying at any of the following locations in order of preference 1) Shinjuku-ku - Ikebukuro 2) Ginza Shopping District 3) City Center - Business District 4) Shibuya - Meguro
  3. Decided not to go on that trip so no information to update on that. Sorry about not replying to that thread. Will definitely update this thread as soon as I get your help. Thanks again!
  4. I've read the forums and I think I have an idea of how to bid for express deals, however I don't want to make any mistakes so I'm posting here. Can someone please help me identify the most likely hotel and also a bidding strategy. Looking for a 4* Hotel in Tokyo. Specifically Shinjku-ku - Ikebukuro Area. Looking to pay around $100 / night ideally. 2 Persons (Husband / Wife) Dates 8/10/15 - 8/13/15 3 nights. Current priceline express deals is $129 per night Guest Rating 7+ Hotel amenities: Restaurant, Free Internet, Bed Choice available. First off, does anyone know what hotel this would likely be? The priceline hotel list shows it as being the Hilton Tokyo Hotel. It's the only one listed, not sure if the information is still up to date. If I have researched correctly, I will have 3 re-bid zones to work with if I bid minimum of 4*: 1) Ota - Tokyo International Airport 2) Shinagawa 3) Taito - Bunkyo Zone I also wouldn't mind staying at some other locations like city center or ginza for example but they seem to be prohibitively more expensive areas. Does that mean that I could also use those as re-bid zones as well since most likely I wouldn't get them and if I did I would be happy as well? I've looked on the priceline express deals and the only 4* hotel listed is in the Shinjuku area. The rest are either 5* (3 of them, Shinjuku, City Center, Chiyoda), or 3* (14 hotels). Does this mean that none of the other areas have any 4* hotels available to bid on? I hope I was specific enough. I tried to provide as much research information as I could. Please reply if you need anymore information regarding my travels. Thank you!

  6. I took a chance and it worked! It was indeed the Four Points Sheraton. $59 for 2 people or $62 for 4 people. Thank you both so much for your help. I guess this is a new amenity set that you guys can add to your list. Might need your help in booking a hotel in NJ as well. =)
  7. HOTWIRE website is back up. I've decided to bid on the 3 star hotel since we need two double beds. I called the Westin and they are unable to touch any reservations made by 3rd party sites. Period. Is there anyway that you can help me do additional searches / checks once more on the 3* to try to get a better guess as to which hotel it might be. The girls and I would love the Four Point Sheraton but don't want to get stuck with a Holiday Inn. THANKS! Jamie
  8. Sorry, one more question. I'm leaning towards the 3 star. Is it a good likelyhood that it is indeed the Four Points Sheraton? I'm not sure why it would say that they are still collecting reviews when on tripadvisor it clearly has a 3 star with many reviews.
  9. How sure are we about it being the Westin? Is there any chance it could be the Hiltons at Penn still? Also, what should I do if I we have 4 people and need 2 beds? Can we have them change the room by calling in? The price increases significantly if we bid for 3 persons and 4 and so on. I was hoping to bid for 2 persons then call in to change to a room with 2 beds. Also, the 3 star says they are still collecting reviews for tripadvisor. I'm afraid it might be a new hotel??? I would be happy with the Four Points Sheraton, maybe I should just go with that, it seems less risky. Any suggestions? I need to book by tomorrow.
  10. Trying to identify one or both of these hotels.
