Went down in stars to 2.5* and increased to 47. No takers. Later started all over again, started at $46 for 3.5* which was their "best deal" in this area. Got it on first try.

You might have better luck when you check in.... I found that any special request are best done in person. Being nice to the staff helps too. There is a thread on the board about how to "fanagle" an upgrade. But when you do that be prepared to be refused, the priceline rules such that you get a std room, but I have found that just being polite (esp. if everyone else in line checking-in is yelling and rude) always helps. A $20 slipped between your ID and credit card helps too. But again, be prepared to lose the $20. I never have, and have always had good results. Check the hotel website and see if the room you want is available the day before. I think the Business Plan rooms at the Grand Hyatt have 2 double beds. Good luck.

Just checked in to this hotel. Ugh. It is one of the worst Holiday Inn's I have ever seen. Run down and dirty. The hallways have not been vacuumed in a while and the corners never. The front desk clerk told me and another priceline customer that only "smoking rooms" are but aside for Priceline customers. She also stated that the other clerk had made a mistake by giving me a non-priceline room. They then went to the terminal and blocked off the rooms for the as yet unchecked in priceline customers. The first room I was assigned on the first floor had a broken window that would not close. Birds had pooped in the opening for some time, weeks maybe. They at first refused to change my room, stating that "engineering" would come and fix it "later". I did not by this and demanded a different room. I later called priceline and related my story and the filthy conditions. How bad was it---- so bad priceline issued a refund. See below. I will further complain to Holiday Inn. This independent owner is not maintaining the property. A refund has been placed on the credit card you provided to us upon submitting your request. Was bidding on 2.5 star hoping to get AmeriSuites in Mt Laurel. However was up graded to 3* Radisson in Trevose. They do have the sleep number bed and reserved the room for a king sleep number when I called. This is a tough area lately. Could not extend at Homestead Suites at $36 rate. They counteroffered at $53 which made that the number to beat. So no kitchen but awesome bed for 50 a night while I look for a house.

2* Maryland DC suburbs (Silver Spring - College Park), Failed bid ( 7/30/06-7/31/06) Started bidding at 2.5 * at $37 in Silver Spring area- rejected upped bid to $40 and went down to 2* in same Silver Spring - rejected I think the best bid in this area has been $50. I was unwilling to go this high or look in other areas. My second choice was BWI area. So I switched bidding in that area- also posted. Thanks.

Very noisy room. Went back down to request a different room. Hotel was not crowded at all. Was told that that was the priceline room. So I again asked for a quiet- standard room. I was reassigned to a quiet room. However, I did complain to priceline that the hotel is assigning a sub-standard room. This hotel is in a good location and is very clean. Also they are now 100% smoke free. The beds and bedding has been improved to what I see in other recently renovated Courtyards.

Started with Woodlands at 36$ added 2 dollars and other areas for 2.5* when I got to $42 I added another area in South Dallas and Priceline upgraded to 3* . Marriott additional charges for this location $7 parking and 9.95 for internet service. Ordered room service from Kids menu for two- total room service $10 with tip and service charges- full size (tasty) sandwich and drink and side dish. Dates of stay for 1 nite 12/21/05. Started at $40 - at 5:47pm. added one zone and upped bid to $42 added another zone and upped bid to $43. From reading the board I have seen this hotel rated a 2 star, however rest assured it deserves the 2.5 at this location.
